Großfürst Georgij Michailowitsch feierte Sein 30. Jahrestag

Am 13. März 2011 feierte Großfürst Georgij Michailowitsch, der Erbe der Russischen Kaiserlichen Trone, Sein 30. Geburtstag.

Die dem Geburtstag von Seinem Kaiserlichen Hoheit gewidmete Feiern wurden in vielen Städte der Russischen Föderation und in anderen Teilen des ehemaligen Russischen Reiches abgehalten.
In diesem Jahr der Geburtstag des Großfürsten übereinstimmte mit einem großen Feiertag, dem Triumph der Orthodoxie, der wurde am ersten Sonntag der Fastenzeit gefeiert.
Etwa 150 Menschen sammelten sich in Moskau in der Kirche von Sankt Nikolaus auf den Drei Hügeln. Da diente der Vorsitzender des Departement für die Beziehungen zwischen Kirche und Gesellschaft zu einem öffentlichen Gebet von dem Großfürst und Seiner Mutter, dem Haupt des Russischen Kaiserlichen Haus Großfürstin Maria Wladimirowna. Nach dem Gebet auszeichnete der Direktor des Büro von der Großfürstin Herr Alexander Sakatov einige Menschen mit den Kaiserlichen Madaillen und Ordens.

In Sankt-Petersburg sammelten sich etwa 100 Menschen in der Kasaner Kathedrale, wo das öffentliche Gebet von dem Großfürst gedient wurde.

In Kiew, der ehemaligen Hauptstadt von mittelalterischen Russland und gegenwartigen Hauptstadt von der Ukraine, wurde das öffentliche Gebet in dem Kloster der Einführung Unserer Lieben Frau in den Tempel.

In Belgorod wurde die Ausstellung der Fotos von Seinem Kaiserlichen Hoheit eröffnet.
Im gegenwartigen Weissrussland wurde das öffentliche Gebet in Sankt Nikolaus Kathedrale in Bobruisk gedient.

On 13 March 2011 Grand Duke Georgiy Mikhaylovich, a Heir of the Russian Imperial Throne, celebrated his 30th anniversary.

Celebrations dedicated to the Birthday of His Imperial Highness were held in different cities and towns of the Russian Federation as well as other parts of the former Russian Empire.
This year the Birthday of Grand Duke concurred with a big holiday the Feast of Orthodoxy, which the Orthodox Church celebrates on the first Sunday of the Lent.
In Moscow about 150 people came together to the church in honour of Saint Nicholas at Three Hills, where a chairman of the Department of the Relations between the Church and Society archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin served public prayer about Grand Duke and His Mother, a Head of the Russian Imperial House Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna. After the prayer director of the Grand Duchess’s Office Sir Alexander Zakatov invested several people with Imperial orders and medals.

In Saint Petersburg about 100 people came together to the Cathedral in honour of Kazan Icon of the Virgin, where the public prayer about Grand Duke was served.

In Kiev, a former capital of Russia in the Middle Ages and a current capital of Ukraine, the public prayer was served in the Presentation of the Virgin in the Temple Cloister.

In Belgorod (a regional centre in the Central Russia) an exhibition of His Imperial Highness photos was opened.
In current Belarus the public prayer was served in the Saint Nicholas Cathedral of Bobruisk.

DER 150. JAHRESTAG DER ABSCHAFFUNG DER LEIBEIGENSCHAFT

Am 4. Maerz (19. Februar nach altem Stil) 2011 fand in Moskau im Gebaeude der Russischen staatlichen Handels- und Wirtschafts-Universitaet (russ.: Abkuerzung: RGTEU) die IV Gesamtrussische wissenschaftlich-praktische Konferenz „Die monarchische Idee im XXI. Jahrhundert“ zum Thema „Die russischen Reform-Erfahrungen. Zum 150. Verkuendungstag des Manifestes von Kaiser Alexander II. ueber die Befreiung der Bauern von der Leibeigenschaft”. Koveranstalter der Konferenz waren RGTEU, die Bewegung „Fuer Glaube und Vaterland“ sowie die Russische Adelsversammlung (russ.: Abkuerzung: RDS).
Vor Konferenzbeginn wurden die Begruessungsschreiben der Chefin des Russischen Kaiserlichen Hauses Herrscherin Grossfuerstin Maria Vladimirovna (durch den Direktor Ihrer kanzlei Alexander Zakatov), der Russischen Orthodoxen Kirche (durch den stellvertretenden Vorsitzenden der Synode-Abteilung fuer die Beziehungen zwischen Kirche und Gesellschaft Protoierej Georgij Roschtschin), der Konferenzveranstalter und gesellschaftlicher Organisationen verlesen. Die Konferenz wurde durch den stellvertretenden RDS-Vorsitzenden Alexander Koroljov-Pereleschin und durch den gelehrten RGTEU-Hauptsekreetaer Dr. Phil. Leonid Dobrochotov moderiert..
Die Konferenz wurde durch den Vortrag des stellvertretenden Direktors fuer wissenschaftliche Arbeit des Instituts fuer Russische Geschichte der Russischen Akademie der Wissenschaften Dr. Hist. Vladimir Lavrov eroeffnet. In seinem Vortrag widerlegte Dr. Lavrov die seit der kommunistischen Zeit verbreiteten falschen Vorstellungen ueber die Zeit der Grossen Reformen der 1860er Jahre.Er unterstrich insbesondere die Kontinuitaet und Konsequenz der Reformen sowie deren Vorbereitung in den vorangegangenen Perioden, aber auch den geistig-moralischen Faktor als Impuls fuer die Reformen des Zaren Alexander II. (trotz den in der sowjetischen Geschiochtsschreibung weit verbreiteten Behauptungen ueber die vorrevolutionaere Situation im damaligen Russland war dort damals keine solche Situation vorhanden). Die Refor hatte den Charakter eines Kompromisses, indem sie sowohl den Adels- als auch den Bauern-Interessen gleichermassen Rechnung trug, ohne eine der Parteien zu beguenstigen. Gerade aus diesem Grund erwies sich die Reform als dermassen erfolgreich und gab den Anstoss fuer weitere Reformen (im bereich der oertlichen Semstwo-Selbstverwaltung, der Gerichtsbarkeit sowie auf militaerischem Gebiet). Den wichtigsten Faktor, deswegen der Reform Erfolg beschieden war, bildete ihre gute Vorbereitung. Die Befreiung der Bauern von der Leibeigenschaft wurde bereits durch Kaiser Paul I. 1797 begonnen. Infolgedessen waren 1861 lediglich 28 % der russischen Bevoelkerung, die damals groesstenteils aus Bauern bestand, leibeigen.
Alexander Zakatov, Kanidat historischer Wissenschaften und Kanzleidirektor der Chefin des Russischen Kaiserlichen Hauses, referierte zum Thema „Das Russische Kaiserliche Haus im Exil: Suche nach Wegen zur nationalen Versoehnung und Einrichtung des Russischen Reiches unter neuen Bedingungen“. Den Leitfaden von Zakatovs Vortrag bildete die Idee der Aussoehnung zwischen Rot und Weiss, der Beendigung des Buergerkriegs, der immer noch in den Koepfen und Herzen vieler Menschen fortgefuehrt wird. Der diesbezuegliche Stanpunkt des Russischen Kaiserlichen Hauses blieb, so Herr Zakatov, stets unveraendert: die Dynastie war am Buergerkrieg unbeteiligt und koenne daher den Anziehungspunkt fuer Weisse wie fuer Rote bilden, ohne fuer die eine oder andere Gruppe Partei zu ergreifen. In diesem Zusammenhang fuehrte Herr Zakatov die Worte von Grossfuerst Vladimir Kyrillovitsch (Chef der Dynastie 1938-1992) als Beispiel an, der fuer den Erhalt des unter den Kommunisten entstandenen status quo im Fall der Wiederherstellung der Monarchie in Russland sowie fuer eine evolutionaere Transformation dieser Lage ohne einen grunedlichen Abbruch eintrat, d.h. ohne Versuche, abgelente vorrevolutionaere Formen wiedereinzufuehren, aber auch ohne nicht rechtfertigte Entlehnungen westlicher Lebensleitbilder zu uiebernehmen/
RGTEU-Rektor Dr. Jur. Sergej Baburin verwies darauf, dass Russland innerhalb von 20 Jahren beispiellos rasch in Richtung Monarchieakzeptanz? Vor allem im Bereich der oeffentlichen Meinung, entwickelt habe. Nach Sergej Baburins Meinung sei die Wiederbelebung der Loyalitaet monarchischen Ideen gegenueber tief im Bewusstsein der von uns tagtaeglich zu beobachtenden Misserfolgen des westlichen Demokratiemodells in Russland verwurzelt. Die monarchische Idee koennte fuer Russland als Mechanismus zum Wiederaufbau des Kaiserreiches Nutzen bringen, der den 1991 gespaltenen Organismus des aus drei Teilen bestehenden russischen Volkes (Grossrussen, Kleinrussen dito Ukrainer und Weissrussen) wiedervereinigen wuerde. An die Erfahrungen der Grosen reformen von Zar Alexander II. Appellierend, betonte Dr. Baburin die Kurs-Kontinuitaet von Alexander II, und Alexander III. Es hat da keine Reformen und Gegenreformen gegeben, sondern nur einheitliche, wohlueberlegte, interdependente und sich gegenseitig ergaenzende Reformen. Die heutigen Reformen wuerden so Dr. Baburin, den Reformen der 1990er Jahre viel staerker aehneln als den Reformen der 1860er Jahre.Die Grundbesonderheit aller Reformen nach 1917 wuerde in der „Befreiung der Menschen vom Eigentum“ liegen Ein markantes Beispiel dieses Ansatzes sei die Voucher-Privatisieruing. Der gruendliche Unterschied der Reformen aus der Zarenzeit von den liberalistischen Reformen sollte uns, so Herr Baburin, zum wiederholten Mal von der Richtigkeit der These Konstantin Pobedonoszevs ueberzeugen: „Die Demolratie ist die grosse Luege unserer Zeit“.Die seit 1993 verstrichenen fas zwei Dezennien haetten die Untragbarkeit der Jelzin-Verfassung deutlich vor Augen gefuehrt. Russland brauche eine Verfassungsreform, welche das Einhauchen neuer menschlicher Ressourcen in den Staatsmachtmechanismus ermoeglichen wuerde. Dazu sei die Einberufung einer Konstituante unerlaesslich, die u.a. die Frage der Regierungsform entscheiden koennte. “Wir duerfen keine Traeume, sondern nur Apathie und Resignation fuerchten. Wir duerfen der Suende der Betriuebnis nicht verfallen“, sagte Sergej Baburin zum Abschluss.
Markant und nachwirkend war der Beitrag von Dr. Phil. Igor Tschubajs, Sendungs-Moderator des „Russischen Nachrichtendienstes“. Russlands Problem wuerde, so Dr. Tschubajs, darin bestehen, dass wir keine Lehren aus der eigenen Geschichte ziehen. Dies unterscheide das heutige Russland von dem Russland der grossen Reformzeit, das damals Lehren aus der Geschichte gezogen habe. Der Krimkrieg war gar keine Katastrophe. Russlands Feinde haetten ihm gar nichts abzwingen bzw. aufzwingen koennen. Und dennoch wurden aus jener Niederlage entsprechende Lehren gezogen, die Kaiser Alexander II. Reformen zur Folge hatten. Nun wuerden wir schon 20 Jahre nach dem Zerfall der UdSSR leben, ohne auf dem gesellschaftlichen Bewusstseinsniveaus die Ursachen jenes Zusammenbruchs und Staatszerfalls ergruendet sowie daraus entsprechende Lehren gezogen zu haben. Bei seiner direkten Analyse der Gruende fuer die Abschaffung der Leibeigenschaft verwies Igor Tschubajs auf den Grundunterschied zwischen Leibeigenschafr und Sklaverei. Leibeigene durften Familie haben, Eigentum besitzen. Sie waren berechtigt, ihre Herren bei Staatsbehoerden anzuklagen. Die grausame Gutsbesitzerin Saltykova wurde durch die von ihr gequaelten Bauern bei der Polizei angezeigt und anschliessend verhaftet. Dr. Tschubjs stellte die rhetorische Frage, ob sowas im heutigen Russland moeglich waere. Die Leibeigenschaft in Russland haette ihre eigene Spezifik gehabt: Alle gesellschaftlichen Schichten waren dem Staate hoerig, vor allem der Adel, dessen ganzes Leben dem Dienste am Vaterland gewidmet war. Die Leibeigenschaft wurde dann allmaehlich, schrittweise abgeschafft, von der Adelsfreiheitsurkunde 1785 bis hin zum Manifest ueber die Befreiung der Bauern aus der Leibeigenschaft 1861.Gleich Dr. Lavrov, bezeichnete auch Dr. Tschubajs den Kompromisscharakter der Reformen, die auf paritaetischer Grundlage alle Partnerinterssen beruecksichtigte, als den Hauptgrund fuer den Reformenerfolg.

Der Schriftsteller und Historiker Alexander Gorjanin fuehrte in seinem Beitrag interessante Statistiken an, die die Behandlung der leibeigenen Bauern in Russland im Verhleich zur Behandlung der Sklaven in den damaligen USA veranschaulichten.Waehrend ein Sklave auf den Plantagen der US-Suedstaaten 3000 bis 4000 Stunden im Jahr fuer den Plantagenbesitzer arbeitete, arbeitete ein leibeigener Bayer in der ersten Haelfte des XIX Jh. in Russland lediglich rund 700 Stunden im Jahr fuer seinen Herrn und Grunsbesitzer.
Sergej Shitnjov, Direktor des RGTEU-Ausbildungs-und Trainigszentrums fuer Touristik und Hotelier-Geschaefte, referierte zum Thema “Bewegungs- und Reisefreiheit im Russland von der Grossen reform 1861 bis heute”. In seinem Beitrag berichtete der Referent ausfuehrlich den Passvergabeprozess in Russland ab Anfang des XVIII Jh. Bis zu unseren Tagen und demonstrierte die Auswirkungen der Passvergabe auf die Bewegungs- und Reisefreiheit zur Zaren- und zur Sowjetzeit. Zur Zeit befaende sich Russland, so Sergej Shitnjov, was die Reisefreiheit anbetrifft, auf dem Niveau von 1906-1917.

RGTEU-Historiker und Kandidat der historischen Wissenschaften Alexej Klimabov referierte mit einer vergleichenden Analyse der militaerischen Reformen unter Alexander II. und der heutigen „Miliitaerreform“. Er fuehrte eine wahhrhaft umwerfende Statistik ueber die Verkuemmerung der russischen Streitkraefte an: Lediglich 5% aller Offiziere sind akademisch gebildet (in der UdSSR waren es 15%), in der Fuehrungsakademie der Streitkraefte der Russischen Foederation immatrikluierten im ersten Semester lediglich 44 Personen? Im Zuge der „Reform“ wurde die Anzahl der Offiziersschulen von 65 auf 10 reduziert. Die Militaerreform unter Alexander II. haette das Bild der Russischen Armee fuer 140 Jahre gepraegt. Die gegenwaertige “Reform” hingegen sei nur als Ruinierung der Streikraefte zu bezeichnen.
Anton Ljubitsch, Fuehrungzentrum-Apparatleiter der Bewegung “Fuer Glaube und Vaterland” und Leiter des der Moskauer Abrteilung des Russischen Kaiserlichen Bundes-Ordens, referierte vor den Versammelten ueber die Rolle der Monarchie bei der Wirtschaftsentwicklung. Bach der Meinung des deutschen Volkswirtes des XIX Jh. Friedrich List, bildete die dynstische Thronfolge eine der vier Hauptursachen fuer Europas Wirtschaftserfolg.. Gleichzeitig gehoere dieses Thema mit zu den am Wenigsten erforschten. Es wurde insbesondere in den Studien des modernen Oekonomen Hans-Hermann Hoppe untersucht, doch keine seiner Studien sei bisher ins Russische uebersetzt worden. Die Monarchie gewaehrleiste eine erfolgreiche Wirtschaftsentwicklung durch das innere Interesse des Monarchen am Wachstum des allgemeinen wirtschaftlichen Wohlstandes (Wirtschafts-Kapitalisierung), und nicht an der Maximierung des laufenden Zahlungsniveaus selbst zu Ungunsten der langfristigen Perspektive, wie dies in Demokratien der Fall sei. Die Monarchie sei an einer Minimierung der Fiskus-Ausgaben interessiert, weil es sich dabei de-jure um Ausgaben des Monarchen handle, und deshalb widerstehe sie innerlich dem Wachstum des buerokratischen Apparats, das in den Zeiten der Demokratiedominanz den Charakter einer Sturmflut angenommen hat.Schliesslich foerdere die Monarchie die Wirtschaftsentwicklung durch Gewaehrleistung der Investitionsgarantien mittels: а) der Kontinuitaet und Vorauissagbarkeit der Monarchie; d) der Faehigkeit der Monarchie als Hoechste Gewalt die Kontinuitaet der vereinbarungen beim Wechsel der Eliten auf Verwaltungsebene zu sichern.
Den letzten Beitrag vor Konferenzabschluss bildete der Vortrag des Staatsduma-Abgeordneten Segej Gavrilov. Er kam zur Konferenz direkt aus einer Dumasitzung, worin die laufende Haushalts-und Steuerpolitik Russlands behandelt wurde. Die heutigen Rezepte, welche der Regierung durch die liberalen Oekonomen mit Vladimir Mau an der Spitze verabreicht warden, seien, so Sergej Gavrilov, eine Karrikatur der Reformen aus den 1990er Jahren. Damals haetten wir trotz des Abbaus der Sozialleistungen und trotz der Privatisierung zwecks Ausfuellung der Haushaltsluecken standgehalten, wir haetten aber damals ein anderes Volk und andere materielle Fomds gehabt. Auch die Lebenshaltung der damaligen Menschen sei anderes (d.h. positiver) gewesen. In der aktuellen Situation seien jedoch derartige Rezepte fuer Russland sehr gefaehrlich. Wir wuerden nunmehr die zweite Runde von Gorbatschovs Perestroika durchlaufen. Bei der heutigen :“Modernisierung““ handle es sich um eine Analogie von Gorbatschovs “Beschleunigung“. Wir haetten jedoch alle in Erinnerung, was fuer ein Ende der ersten Runde beschieden war. Deshalb wuerden wir einen umfangreichen Kapitalabfluss und eine derart massive Auswanderung aus Russland beobachten. Unsere Menschen wandern zu Millionen aus. Russland wuerden seine faehigsten Buerger verlassen, die die Krise der 1990er Jahre erfolgreich ueberstanden haetten und ehrlichen Geschaeften nachgehen wuerden. Sie seien jedoch nicht willens, unter den heutigen Bedingungen weiter zu leben und in einer neuen schlimmen Banditenzeit untergehen. Auch viele Jugendliche wandern aus. La conferencia de la idea monárquica en Moscú

La esclavitud fue abolida en Rusia el 19 de febrero 1861 (calendario juliano). Esta reforma se conoce en Rusia como la gran reforma de 1861. En el 150 aniversario de este evento, el 4 de marzo de 2011, la conferencia "La idea monárquica en el siglo 21" fue organizada en Moscú por la Universidad Estatal Rusa de Comercio y Economía (bajo el patrocinio de la Jefe de la Casa Imperial de Rusia Gran Duquesa María Vladimirovna), el Movimiento para la Fe y la Patria, y la Asamblea de la Nobleza Rusa. Esta conferencia se organizó por cuarta ocasión siendo las anteriores en 2004, 2007 y 2009.
Las direcciones de los participantes de la conferencia fueron enviados por el Jefe de la Casa Imperial de Rusia Gran Duquesa Maria Vladimirovna y la Iglesia Ortodoxa Rusa. Ellos se dieron a conocer antes del inicio de la conferencia.

El primer informe fue hecho por el Vicepresidente de la Historia de Rusia Instituto de la Academia de Ciencias de Rusia Dr. Vladimir Lavrov quien rechazó una serie de ideas falsas hechas por los comunistas en la historia de la gran reforma de 1861. En particular, hizo hincapié en que la reforma estaba en estrecha relación con las decisiones de los predecesores del emperador Alejandro II. La emancipación de los campesinos se inició en 1797 por el emperador Pablo I. En 1861 sólo el 28% de los campesinos estaban bajo la esclavitud. La razón principal de la reforma fue el deseo de orden moral, religioso del emperador para ver a sus súbditos como personas libres, y el deseo de ayudar al desarrollo de Rusia debido a la reforma. No hubo riesgo de una revolución en Rusia ese momento. El éxito de la reforma se conectó plenamente con su natural compromiso: se tomó en consideración los intereses de ambos lados de la nobleza y los campesinos. El éxito de la reforma ayudó al emperador Alejandro II para realizar las reformas de los gobiernos municipales, los tribunales, y el ejército.
El secretario personal de la Gran Duquesa Maria Vladimirovna Sir Alexander Zakatov, PhD, presentó un informe sobre la necesidad de superar el legado de la Guerra Civil de 1917 - 1922, y para encontrar un compromiso entre los rojos y los blancos. La dinastía no participó en la Guerra Civil, que era independiente. Se da a la dinastía de la posibilidad de ser el centro de la consolidación nacional. Como ejemplo, el Sr. Zakatov citó las palabras del Gran Duque Vladimir Kiríllovich (Jefe de la Casa Imperial Rusa en 1938 - 1992), que estaba en contra de la destrucción de la herencia soviética, pero pidió la evolución del sistema social y el estado de Rusia en la etapa post-soviética.
El Canciller de la Universidad Estatal Rusa de Comercio y Economía Sir Sergey Baburin, hizo hincapié en que las ideas monárquicas en Rusia se convirtieron en algo más popular de lo que eran hace 20 años. Se relacionan con la insatisfacción de la gran mayoría de la gente en la democracia, que es una completa bancarrota en Rusia. La monarquía puede ser el instituto que ayudará al pueblo ruso para revivir el imperio de la nueva etapa, tomando como ejemplo la experiencia de la Comunidad de Naciones. También el Sr. Baburin comparó las reformas de 1860 y las reformas en curso. Hoy en día las reformas liberales en Rusia, la emancipación de la gente de su propiedad. Es la principal razón y objetivo. Es por eso que el pueblo ruso no está satisfecho con la democracia y la Constitución. El Sr. Baburin anunció su idea de convocar a la Asamblea Constituyente para debatir la idea de la restauración de la monarquía. Al ser el Vicepresidente de la Duma Estatal de Rusia (cámara baja del Parlamento ruso) en 2003 - 2007, el Sr. Baburin fue el autor del proyecto de ley correspondiente, por desgracia, no fue aprobada por la mayoría gobernante.
Un muy interesante informe fue hecho por el Sr. Igor Chubais (hermano mayor de un famoso político ruso Anatoly Chubais). En opinión del Sr. Chubais, el principal problema de los rusos hoy en día es la falta de habilidad para estudiar las lecciones de la historia. La derrota en la guerra de Crimea de 1853 - 1856 no fue terrible para Rusia, pero el emperador y la élite gobernante aprendieron la lección y llevaron a cabo ambiciosas y rápidas reformas, incluyendo la gran reforma de 1861. Hace veinte años, la URSS se derrumbó, pero los rusos no aprendieron la lección y trataron de revivir las formas comunistas. Es una tontería y un gran error. También el señor Chubais prestó atención a que la servidumbre en Rusia no era la esclavitud. El campesino bajo la esclavitud tuvo derechos como persona, podía tener una familia, tener propiedades, actividad empresarial y para comprar su libertad, que podía presentar un recurso contra sus amos. Hubo ejemplos, cuando la policía detuvo a maestros por violación de los derechos de los campesinos de maestros. Los campesinos debían trabajar pero no más de tres días a la semana. Él específica que en Rusia todos los estados (la nobleza, el clero, los comerciantes, los campesinos) no eran libres, al servir al estado. La libertad de la nobleza era la menor, porque todas las vidas de los hombres nobles debe servir para el Estado como los militares o civiles. La emancipación de las propiedades comenzó en 1785, cuando la nobleza tuvo el derecho de no servir, y se terminó en 1861 cuando ese derecho lo tomaron los campesinos también. Así como el señor Lavrov, señor Chubais dijo que la razón principal del éxito de la reforma fue su carácter de compromiso, lo que fue un gran logro de la monarquía.
El famoso escritor e historiador ruso Alexander Goryanin anunció datos muy interesantes: en los Estados Unidos un esclavo trabajaba para su patrón 4.000 horas al año, cuando en Rusia un campesino en la esclavitud estaba trabajando para un único patrón 700 horas por año.
El Presidente de la Oficina del Movimiento de la Fe y la Patria y Director del Departamento de Moscú de la Unión-Orden Imperial Rusa, el Sr. Anton Liubich, presentó un informe sobre la conexión de la monarquía como institución con el desarrollo económico de una nación. La monarquía está interesada en aumento de la capitalización de la economía nacional es más, que en el aumento de los ingresos actuales. Se distingue de la monarquía de la democracia. La monarquía garantiza la seguridad de las inversiones a largo plazo. Y la monarquía por su naturaleza está interesada en la disminución de la burocracia. Por todas estas razones, la monarquía es la institución de ayuda al crecimiento económico a largo plazo. Al final de su discurso, el Sr. Liubich anunció datos que corroboraron estas declaraciones.
El último informe fue realizado por el miembro de la Duma del Sr. Sergey Gavrilov. Criticó las reformas actuales en Rusia. Repiten la experiencia fracasada de la década de 1990. Es un gran peligro para Rusia y su existencia como Estado. Las reformas de la década de 1860 ayudaron al desarrollo de la nación, pero hoy en día vemos la degradación de las instituciones del Estado, el sistema económico, y la gran emigración, especialmente de los jóvenes.

The Monarchical Conference in Moscow

The bondage was abolished in Russia on 19 February 1861 (under Julian calendar). This reform is known in Russia as the Great Reform of 1861. On the 150th anniversary of this event, on 4 March 2011 the conference “Monarchical Idea at the 21st Century” was organised in Moscow by the Russian State University of Commerce and Economics (under the patronage of the Head of the Russian Imperial House Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna), the Movement For Faith and Fatherland, and the Russian Nobility Assembly. Such conference was organised in the fourth time, former it was held in 2004, 2007, and 2009.
The addresses to the participants of the conference were sent by the Head of the Russian Imperial House Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna and the Russian Orthodox Church. They were announced before the beginning of the conference.

The first report was made by Vice-Chairman of the Russian History Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Mr Vladimir Lavrov, Dr. Hab. Mr Lavrov refuted a lot of misconceptions made by Communists in the history of the Great Reform of 1861. In particular he emphasized that the reform was in close connection with the decisions of predecessors of Emperor Alexander II. Emancipation of peasants was begun in 1797 by Emperor Paul I, to 1861 only 28% of peasants were under the bondage. The main reason of the reform was moral, religious desire of the Emperor to see his subjects as free people, and the desire to help the development of Russia due to the reform. There were no risk of any revolution in Russia that time. The success of the reform was fully connected with its compromise nature: it took into consideration the interests of both sides the nobility and the peasants. The success of the Great Reform helped the Emperor Alexander II to realise the reforms of municipal governments, courts, and the army.
The Personal Secretary of Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna Sir Alexander Zakatov, PhD, made a report about the necessity to overcome the legacy of the Civil War of 1917 – 1922, and to find compromise between the Reds and the Whites. The Dynasty didn’t participate in the Civil War, it was independent. It gives to the Dynasty the possibility to be the centre of the national consolidation. As an example Mr Zakatov cited the words of Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich (the Head of the Russian Imperial House in 1938 – 1992), who was against the destruction of the Soviet heritage, but called for evolution of the social and state system of Russia at the post-Soviet stage.
The Chancellor of the Russian State University of Commerce and Economics Sir Sergey Baburin, Dr. Hab., emphasized that monarchical ideas became in Russia much more popular, than they were 20 years ago. It connected with dissatisfaction of the vast majority of people in democracy, which is a fully bankrupt in Russia. The monarchy can be the institute which will help the Russian people to revive the empire at the new stage taking as an example the experience of the Commonwealth of Nations. Also Mr Baburin compared the reforms of 1860s and current reforms. Nowadays liberal reforms in Russia emancipate people from their property. It is their main reason and aim. That is why the Russian people are not satisfied with the democracy and the Constitution which announces it. Mr Baburin announced his idea to summon the Constitutional Assembly to debate the idea of the restoration of the monarchy. Being the Vice-Chairman of the Russian State Duma (the lower chamber of the Russian Parliament) in 2003 – 2007 Mr Baburin was the author of the appropriate bill draft, unfortunately it was failed by the ruling majority.
Very interesting report was made by Mr Igor Chubais, Dr. Hab. (the eldest brother of a famous Russian politician Mr Anatoly Chubais). In the opinion of Mr Chubais, the main problem of the Russians nowadays is the lack of skill to study the lessons of history. The lose in the Crimean War of 1853 – 1856 was not awful for Russia, but the Emperor and the ruling elite studied the lesson and implemented very ambitious reforms soon, including the Great Reform of 1861. Twenty years ago the USSR collapsed, but the Russians didn’t study the lesson and try to revive the Communists forms and categories. It is foolishness and a great mistake. Also Mr Chubais paid the attention that the bondage in Russia was not the slavery. The peasant under the bondage have had personal rights, they could have families, could be owners of property, to be entrepreneurships and to buy the liberty, they could file an action against their masters. There were examples when the police arrested masters because of violation of the peasants’ rights by such masters. The peasants should work for master not more than three days a week. The specific of Russia was that all estates (the nobility, the clergy, the merchants, the peasants) were not free, they should serve to the state. The less freedom the nobility have got, because all lives the noble men should serve to the state as military or civil officers. The emancipation of estates began in 1785, when the nobility took the right not to serve, and was finished in 1861 when such right the peasants took too. As well as Mr Lavrov, Mr Chubais said that the main reason of the reform’s success was its compromise nature, what was a big achievement of the monarchy.
Famous Russian writer and historian Mr Alexander Goryanin announced very interesting data: in the USA a slave was working for a master for 4000 hours per year, when in Russia a peasant in bondage was working for a master only for 700 hours per year.
The Office Chairman of the Movement For Faith and Fatherland and the Director of the Moscow Department of the Russian Imperial Union-Order Mr Anton Liubich, MA, made a report about the connection of the monarchy as the institution with the economic development of a nation. The monarchy is interested in increase of the national economy’s capitalisation more, than in the increase of current earnings. It distinguished the monarchy from the democracy. The monarchy guarantees safety of the long-term investments. And the monarchy because of its nature is interested in decrease of the bureaucracy. Due to all these reasons the monarchy as the institution helps to the long-term economic growth. In the end of the speech Mr Liubich announced different data corroborated these statements.
The last report was made by the State Duma member Mr Sergey Gavrilov. He criticised the nowadays reforms in Russia. They repeat the unsuccessful experience of the 1990s reforms. It is a big danger for Russia and its existence as the state. The reforms of 1860s helped to development of the nation, but nowadays we see the degradation of the state institutions, the economic system, and the huge emigration, especially of the youth.
About 15 reports were made at the conference.
The cooperation between the Russian State University of Commerce and Economics and the monarchical organisations will be continued.

Der Höchste Besuch zu dem Obersten Gerichtshof

Ihre Kaiserliche Hoheit Großfürstin Maria Wladimirowna besuchte am 21. Februar 2011 den Obersten Gerichtshof der Russische Föderation in Moskau.

Großfürstin traf sich mit dem Vorsitzendem des Gerichtshofs Herrn Wiatscheslaw Lebedew, und dann mit den Richter und Beamter des Gerichtshofsbüro.

Ihre Kaiserliche Hoheit betonte: „Nämlich die Entscheidung des Präsidiums des Obersten Gerichtshofs [vom 1. October 2008 über die Rehabilitierung vom Kaiser Nikolaus II und Seinen Familienmitglieder] war das Zeichen, dass das neue Russland gestanden ist, der Staat, der seine historische Vergangenheit objektiv schätzen kann und keine Angst auf Zukunft auszublicken hat.“

Ihre Kaiserliche Hoheit schlug die Idee, das Russische Kaiserliche Haus über den Status eines historischen Institution. Das werde dem Russischen Kaiserliche Haus besser durchführen karitativen und anderen öffentlichen Aktivitäten in Russland helfen.

Das Russische Kaiserliche Haus wird an keinen politischen Kampf teilnehmen und keine politischen Parteien unterhalten. Die Institutionen der Monarchie sollen unabhängig von Politik sein, das ist die feste Vorstellung von Großfürstin Maria Wladimirowna. Trotzdem Großfürstin glaubt an die Wiederherstellung der Monarchie, wenn die Leute es so möchten. Die Hauptsache für Ihre Kaiserliche Hoheit ist keine Restoration der Monarchie, sondern die Möglichkeit Russland zu dienen, wie es notwendig für dem Land ist.

The Highest Visit to the Supreme Court

Her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna visited on 21 February 2011 the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation in Moscow.
Grand Duchess met with the Chairman of the Court Mr Vyacheslav Lebedev and then with judges and officials of the Court's Office.

Her Imperial Highness emphasized, "Exactly the decision of the Presidium of the Supreme Court [of 1 October 2008 about the rehabilitation of Emperor Nicholas II and the Members of His Family] was the sign that new Russia appeared, the state which can objectively estimate its historical past and has no fear to look at the future."
Grand Duchess confirmed that the Russian Imperial House has no property demands to the Russian Federation. Also Her Imperial Highness came for concession to the House the rights of a historical institution in Russia to execute the charity and other social activity in the country better.

The Russian Imperial House will not participate in any political struggle and will not support any political party, the institutions of the monarchy shall be independent on the politics, it is the firm idea of Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna. Nevertheless, Grand Duchess believes in restoration of the monarchy, if the people would like to do so. The main thing for Her Imperial Highness is not the restoration itself, but the possibility to serve to Russia any way, as it is necessary for the country.

RRBO und Kosaken

Am 22. Januar 2011 hat Bischof Kyrill von Pavlov Possad in der Kirche zu Ehren der Ikone der Heiligen Mutter Gottes von Don eine Totenmesse fuer die Kosaken und Mitglieder deren Familien zelebriert, die den politischen Repressalien seitens der Kommunisten zum Opfer gefallen sind. An dieser Totenmesse nahmen etwa tausend Glaeubige teil.

Vor Beginn der Totenmesse schwuren junge Kosaken, dem Orthodoxen Christlichen Glauben, den gesetzlichen Autoritaeten und dem Russischen Vaterland treu zu dienen.

Waehrend der Totenmesse beteten Kosaken und andere orthodoxe Glaeubige inbriuenstig zu Gott dem Herrn um Vergebung ihrer Suenden und fuer die Gewaehrung des Ewigen Lebens den "ehrwuerdigen Atamanen und ehrwuerdigen Kosaken", die "seitens unseres Feindes, des Teufels, und seitens dessen Diener" Leiden und den Martyrertod ertragen mussten. In seiner Predigt betonte Bischof Kyrill insbesondere die Rolle zweier Kosakenatamane^ des Atamans des Gesamten Grossen Don-Heeres General Pjotr Krassnow, und des Oberbefehlshabers der Streitkraefte Suedrusslands General Anton Denikin. Sie beide waren die Fuehrer des russischen Volkes im Kampf gegen das gottlose kommunistische Regime waehrend des Buergerkrieges 1917-1922. General Krassnow und General Denikin liegen auf dem Friedhof des Moskauer Don/Klosters begraben.

Den kommunistischen Repressalien fielen 1919-1947 mehr als 100 000 Kosaken und deren Angehoerige zum Opfer.

Nach der Totenmesse kamen zahlreiche Kosaken zum Massengraf, wo die antikommunistischen Generale begraden liegen, u.a. Pjotr Krassnow, Andrei Schkuro, Semion Krassnoff, Sultan Giraj-Klytsch, Timofej Domanow und Helmuth von Pannwitz. Sie wurden am 16. Januar 1947 wegen ihres Dienstes in den Russischen Antikommunistischen Streitkraeften im Zweiten Weltkrieg von den Kommunisten ermordet. Am 16. und am 17. Januar 2011 wurden in zahlreichen Moskauer Kirchen ebenfalls Totenmessen fuer ihre Seelen zelebriert.

An all diesen Totengedenkfeiern zu Ehren der Kosakenhelden am 10.-22. januar 2011 in Moskau nahmen auch vertreter des Russischen Reichsbund-Orden (RRBO) sowie andere Monarchisten beteiligt.

I am sure that no disgusting murderer of peaceful citizens will escape just and severe punishment. Our unity and solidarity in struggle against godless and inhuman terrorism (which is aimed at all and each of us) shall be the answer to the attempts to spread panic.

ETERNAL MEMORY TO THE COSSACKS’ HEROES

On 22 January 2011 in the church in honour of the Don Icon of Saint Mary in the Don Cloister of Moscow bishop Kirill of Pavlov Posad served requiem dedicated to Cossacks and members of their families who were victims of political repressions by communists. Approximately a thousand people prayed at the requiem.

Before the beginning of the requiem young Cossacks swore to serve to the Orthodox Faith, Legal Authority and Russian Fatherland.
During the requiem Cossacks and fascinated Orthodox people prayed to the Lord to promise the sins and to give the eternal lives to “honest atamans and honest Cossacks,” who suffered from “our enemy devil and its servants.” In his speech bishop Kirill specially emphasized the role of two Cossacks’ atamans: ataman of the Greatest Army of Don general Piotr Krasnoff and the commander-in-chief of the Military Forces of the South Russia general Anton Denikin. They were the leaders of the Russian people in their struggle against the atheistic communists regime in the Civil War of 1917 – 1922. General Krasnoff and general Denikin are buried at the cemetery of the Don Cloister.

More than 100 thousand people were the victims of the communists’ repressions against Cossacks in 1919 – 1947.

After the requiem a lot of Cossacks came to the common grave were the generals-anticommunists were buried: generals Piotr Krasnoff, Andrei Shkuro, Semion Krasnoff, and Timophey Domanoff. They were killed by communists on 16 January 1947 because of their participation in the Russian anticommunists’ military forces during World War II. On 16 and 17 January 2011 in Moscow in different churches requiems in their honour were served too.
Representatives of the Russian Imperial Union-Order and other monarchists participated in all memory actions dedicated to the Cossacks’ heroes from 16 to 22 January 2011 in Moscow.

The Holy Liturgy on this Day begins with the words "The Lord is with us!" We sincerely hope that these words will be with you when you are doing good and justice all year.

Russischer Monarchischer Dezember: Treffen der Großfürstin mit dem Papst

Am 22. November 2010 wurde das Seelenamt die Beuten des Russischen Bürgerkriegs zu ehren gedient, die im Ausland gestorben waren. Das Seelenamt wurde in der Orthodoxen Kirche gedient. Auch hatten die russischen Monarchisten einen Wunsch ein Katholisches Seelenamt zu organisieren Francisco Franco zu ehren, die Katholische Diözese Sankt-Marie in Moskau aber verweigerte um die Seele des richtigen Sohnes der Katholischen Kirche zu beten.

Am 24. November wurde die dem 50. Jahrestag des Todes der Großfürstin Olga Alexandrowna, Schwester des Kaisers Nikolas II, gewidmete Rezeption in Moskau organisiert. Die Teilnehmer sahen einen der Großfürstin gewidmeten Film, hörten die russischen Romanzen und Harfenmusik.

Am 9. Dezember wurde in dem Moskauer Geisteswissenschaftlichen Pädagogischen Institut eine der Tätigkeit vom Russischen Kaiserlichen Haus und seiner Geschichte seit 1917 gewidmete Ausstellungshalle geöffnet mit dem Anteil der Repräsentanten der Kanzlei von Ihrer Kaiserlichen Hoheit Großfürstin Maria Wladimirovna und der russischen monarchistischen Organisationen.

Am 10. Dezember wurde die der russischen Kaiserin Elisabeth gewidmete Ausstellung in der Tretjakow-Galerie geöffnet. Die Ausstellung wird bis zum 27. März 2011 geöffnet sein.

Seit dem 12. bis zum 16. Dezember besuchte Großfürstin Maria Wladimirowna Italien. Ihre Kaiserliche Hoheit unternahm eine Wallfahrt nach Bari, zu den Reliquien von St. Nikolas. Dann besuchte Großfürstin Rom und Vatikan, hier traf sich Ihre Kaiserliche Hoheit mit den Stadtbeamten der Staat Vatikanstadt, einschließlich Staatssekretär Kardinal Tarcisio Bertone, und am 15. Dezember wurde von dem Papst Benedict XVI empfangen. Großfürstin Maria Wladimirowna und Ihr Erbe Großfürst Georgij Michailowitsch besprachen mit dem Papst die gegenwärtige Situation mit der Moralität in Russland und Westeuropa. Auch besuchten in Rom Großfürstin und Ihr Erbe die Russische Orthodoxe Kirche von St. Katharina.

Der 23. Dezember ist der Auguste Geburtstag von Großfürstin Maria Wladimirowna. Er war mit den Beten in Orthodoxe Kirchen in Moskau und Sankt-Petersburg gefeiert.

Russian Monarchical December: meeting of Grand Duchess and Pope

On 22 November 2010 in Moscow the requiem service was served in honour of victims of the Russian Civil War died abroad. The service was served in Orthodox church. Also Russian monarchists had desire to organise a Catholic service in honour of Francisco Franco, but Catholic diocese of Saint Mary in Moscow refused to pray about the soul of the true son of the Catholic Church.

On 24 November the reception dedicated to 50th anniversary of the death of Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna, a sister of Emperor Nicholas II, was organised in Moscow. The participants watched the film dedicated to Grand Duchess, listened to Russian romances and harp music.

On 9 December in the Moscow Humanitarian Pedagogic Institute the Memory Hall dedicated to the nowadays activity of the Russian Imperial House and its history from 1917 was opened with participation of representatives of the Chancellery of Her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna and Russian monarchists organisations.
On 10 December in the Tretyakov Gallery the exhibition dedicated to Russian Empress Elizabeth was opened. The exhibition will work to 27 March 2011.

From 12 to 16 December Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna visited Italy. Her Imperial Highness had pilgrimage to Bari, to relics of St. Nicholas. Then Grand Duchess visited Rome and Vatican, there Her Imperial Highness met with state officers of City-State of Vatican including State Secretary cardinal Tarcisio Bertone and on 15 December had audience with Pope Benedict XVI. Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna and Her Heir Grand Duke Georgiy Mikhaylovich discussed with Pope current situation with morality in Russia and Western Europe. Also in Rome Grand Duchess and Her Heir visited Russian Orthodox Church of St. Catherine.
23 December is August Birthday of Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna. It was celebrated with prayers in Orthodox churches in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

Ende September gewaehrte Grossfuerstin Maria Vladimirovna, Oberhaupt des Russischen Kaiserlichen Hauses, einem der populaersten russischen Fernsehkanaele, TV Zentr, ein Interview. Das Interview war Ihren Beziehungen zu Frau Carla Bruni, Gattin des franzoesischen Praesidenten, und dem letzten Buch von Besma Lauri ueber das Leben der franzoesischen first lady gewidmet.

Nach dem Krimbesuch des Kommandanten des RKB-O Anfang September 2010 setzte der Russische Kaiserliche Bund-Orden seine Aktivitaeten in der Ukraine weiter fort.

In Simferopol, Verwaltungszentrum der Krim, wurde eine Repraesentanz des RKB-O eingerichtet. Frau Joanna Smolova wurde zur vertreterin des RKB-O in Simferopol benannt.
Die neugegruendete Repraesentanz beteiligte sich aktiv an der Organisation von Gedenkveranstaltungen, die dem 90. Jahrestag des Russischen Exodus gewidmet waren (die Weisse Armee und ihre Anhaenger verliessen Russland von der Krim aus im November 1920 nach ihrer Niederlage im Buergerkrieg gegen die Bolschewisten). Die in Simferopol veranstaltete Konferenz "Die verlorene Einheit finden" wurde auf einem sehr hoghen Niveau durchgefuehrt. Seitens des RKB-O berichtete Frau Smolova ueber die Aktivitaeten des Russischen kaiserlichen Bundes-Ordens im Exil und zur Zeit.

Vom 8. bis zum 10. Oktober besuchte der Vorsitzende des Moskauer RKB-O-Departements herr Anton Liubich Kiev, Hauptstadt der Ukraine, wo er sich mit Kiever RKB-O-Vertretern Herrn Alexander Mashkin, Direktor des Museums der kaiserlichen Familie in Kiev, Herrn Wladislaw Pilkevich und mit weiteren Monarchisten traf. Im Mittelpunkt der Gespraeche standen der Ausbau der Beziehungen zwischen Moskauer und Kiever russischen Monarchisten. Es wurde insbesondere die Idee besprochen, im kommenden Jahr gemeinsame Konferenzen zu veranstalten.

In Weiterentwicklung unserer Aktivitaeten in der Ukraine veroeffentlichte der RKB-O am 18. Oktober eine offizielle Denkschrift ueber unser Verhaeltnis zur Ukrainischen Aufsatendischen/Armee (1941-1949). Der RKB-O verurteilte die Aktivitaeten der UAA und betonte, die Ziele der UAA liefen denen des RKB-O zuwider. Es sei unmoeglich, zu den ideologischen Nachfolgern der UAA Verbuendetenbeziehungen aufzubauen.

Am, 25. September 2010 beteiligten sich russische Monarchisten inklusive RKB-vertreter an den feierlichkeiten anlaesslich des 620jaehrigen Jubilaeums des Solotcha-Klosters in Rjasan. Monarchisten organisierten dort eine Rundtischdiskussion unter Beteiligung von Mitgliedern der Rjasaner Gebietsregierung, die der Geschichte der Klostergruender und der heutigen Fortsetzung der Klostergeschichte gewidmet war,

Im Oktober 2010 begannen RKB-O-Mitglieder im Fernen Osten ein neues Magazin - "Der Russische Adler" - zu edieren. Das Yauppthema des Magazins bildet die Theorie der Monarchie. Das Magazin erscheint sowohl in einer Druck/ als auch in einer Internet-Version.

Der 8. Oktober ist ein Feiertag fuer uns Kaiserliche, an diesem Tag wurde 1929 der RKB-O gegruendet. Am 8. Oktober des laufenden Jahres wurde in St. Petersburg unter Beteiligung des St. Petersburger RKB-O-Departements eine Gedenktafel zu Ehren der Soldaten des Finnlaendischen leibgarde-Regiments der Russischen Kaiserlichen Armee eroeffnet. Der Festakt wurde im lokalen Fernsehen uebertragen.

An diesem Tag fand in Moskau eine Ausstellung von Fotos des Russischen Kaiserlichen Hauses im gebaeude der Moskauer Geisteswissenschaftlichen Paedagogischen Hochschule eroeffnet. Diese Ausstellung wird staendig funktionieren. Im Hochschulgebaeude ist dafuer ein spezieller raum eingerichtet worden.

Am 31. Oktober wurde in Los Angeles (California, USA) durch die Los Angeleser RKB-O-Repraesentanz eine Zusammenkunft mit Bischoefen der Russisch-Orthodoxen Kirche im Ausland unter Beteiligung zahlreicher russischer Emigranten veranstaltet.

Am 3. November gewaehrte Herr Dmitrij Sysujev, RKB-O-Vize-Kommandant, eine Pressekonferenz, die dem tag der Nationalen Einheit gewidmet war, der in Russland am 4. November feierlich begangen wird. Dabei wurde ein Aufruf des RKB-O verlesen.

Am 5. November veranstaltete das lokale RKB-O-Departement einen literarischen Abend zu Ehren des grossen russischen Dichters Grossfuerst Konstantin Konstantinovic (K.R.)
Vom 5. bis zum 6. November besuchte RKB-O-Kommndant Sir George Fedoroff Nizhniy Novgorod. Dort traf er sich mit oertlichen Monarchisten.

Am 14. November beendete die Jacht "Peter I" ihre Weltreise durch arktische Gewaesser unter der Flagge des Russischen Kaiserreiches. Das Recht, diese Flagge zu fuehren, wurde von Grossfuerstin Maria Vladimirovna, Oberhaupt des Russischen Kaiserlichen Hauses, offiziell gewaehrt.

Im Zusammenhang mit zahlreichen Veroeffentlichungen russischer Periodika, worin der Britische Prinz Harry als Russischer Thronanwaerter unterstuetzt wurde, veroeffentlichte der RKB-O eine offizielle Erklaerung an die entsprechenden Periodika, worin unterstrichen wurde, die einzige legitime Erbin des Russischen Thrones sei Grossfiuerstin Maria Vladimirovna, in Zukunft aber sei Grossfuerst Georgiy Mikhaylovich Ihr Erbe.

In Moskau setzten Jungmonarchisten ihre Aktivitaeten weiter fort. Am 24. und am 31. Oktober sowie am 7. November wurden Kundgebungen junger Monarchisten veranstaltet. An der Spitze der Jungmonarchistenbewegung stehen RKB-O-Mitglieder herr Stanislav Pavlov und Frau margarita Volkova.

Ausserdem veranstalten Monarchisten in Moskau und in St. Petersburg regelmaessig Gottedienste anlaesslich von gedenktagen des Russischen Kaiserlichen Hauses.

In the end of September the Head of the Russian Imperial House Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna gave interview to one of the most popular Russian TV channels The TV Centre. The interview was dedicated to Her attitude to Ms Carla Bruni, a wife of the French President, and the last book by Besma Lauri dedicated to the life of the French first lady.
After the visit of the Commander of the RIU-O to the Crimea in early September 2010 the Russian Imperial Union-Order continued its activity in the Ukraine.

Besuch auf die Krim

Der Leiter des Russischen Reichbund-Ordens Herr Georgij Fedorow besuchte die Krim vom 4. bis 11. September 2010. Auf der Halbinsel besuchte Herr Fedorow die Städte Jalta und Simferopol, die Hauptstadt der Region.
Während des Besuches traf sich der Leiter des RRB-O mit den Vertretern des Orthodoxen Klerus und aktiven Mitglieder der russischen patriotischen Nicht-Regierungs-Organisationen der Krim. Der Leiter besuchte auch den Bau der neuen Kathedrale in Massandra. Sie wird die erste Kirche den Zar-Märtyrer Nickolaus II zu ehren auf der Krim und in der ganzen Ukraine sein. Offensichtlich traf sich der Leiter mit den neuen und potentiellen Mitgliedern des RRB-O auf der Krim.

The Commander of the Russian Imperial Union-Order Sir George Fedoroff visited from 4 to 11 September 2010 Crimea. At the peninsula Sir Fedoroff visited the cities of Yalta and Simferopol, an administrative centre of the region.
During the visit the Commander of the RIU-O met with representatives of Orthodox clergy and active members of Russian patriotic non-governmental organisations of Crimea. Also the Commander visited the building of a new cathedral in Massandra. It will be the first in Crimea and all Ukraine church in honour of Tsar-Martyr Nicholas II. Obviously the Commander met with new and potential members of the RIU-O in Crimea.

Am 5. September 2010 feierten die Kampgenossen der Tula Abteilung des RRB-O den Geburtstag von dem Kommandanten des legendären Kreuzer „Warjag“ Wsewolod Rudnew (1855 – 1913).
Um 11.00 Uhr sammelten sich die Mitglieder der Tula Abteilung des RRB-O bei dem Denkmal dem Konteradmiralen. Der Leiter der Tula Abteilung Konstantin Alexeenko stellte kurz die Biographie von Wsewolod Rudnew vor und erzählte von dem Waffentat von „Warjag“ in dem Kampf gegen dem Japanischen Geschwader in der Bucht Tschemulpo im Jahre 1904. Danach waren die Blumen zu dem Rudnew-Denkmal und zu der Stella gelegt.
Es ist bemerkenswert, dass in Tula Abteilung setzt sich der Bund der Zeiten fort: in Tula bewerbt sich schon in das RRB-O der Mariner, der auf dem modernen Raketenkreuzer „Warjag“ von dem Pazifikflotte diente, Alexej Moltschanow.
Nach der gehaltene Veranstaltung fand sich die Sitzung des Abteilungsrates statt, wo die Bilanz der Arbeit von der ersten Hälfte des Jahres gezogen und die Richtungen der zukünftigen Tätigkeit bestimmt waren.

Die monarchistische Ausstattung in die Entwicklung der Außenpolitik

Die Ereignisse der Ende Augusts und des Anfangs Septembers 2010 in der russischen monarchistischen Bewegung waren mit dem Außenverhältnis unseres Landes verbunden.
Der Erbe des Throns der Große Fürst Georgij Michailowitsch machte den offiziellen Besuch nach Transnistrien. Transnistrien ist eine kleine Republik auf den Ufern des Dnjestr Flusses. Die Unabhängigkeit der Republik ist im Jahre 1990 verkündet. Es ist nur von Abchasien und Südossetien erkannt wegen der Position von Moldawien wieder Transnistrien unter die Oberherrschaft von Moldawien rückzukehren zu zwingen. Die zwei Versuchen von Moldawien Transnistrien von sein Unabhängigkeit zu verweigern mit der Hilfe der Streitkräfter in den Jahre 1990 und 1992 zu zwingen waren erfolglos.
Der Große Fürst Georgij beteiligte sich an den mit dem 20. Jahrestag der Unabhängigkeit verbundenen offiziellen Zeremonien. Er öffnete ein Denkmal dem Fürst Grigorij Potemkin, einem berühmten Russischen Kriegsherr des XVIII. Jahrhunderts. Dann besuchte der Große Fürst die Brandy Fabrik „KWINT“ und den Sportwettkampf von den behinderten Menschen, wo der Erbe den Gewinner Geschenke präsentierte.
Der Große Fürst besuchte auch am 1. September das Rechtsinstitut in Tiraspol. Das Institut ist unter der Fürsorge des Hauptes des Russischen Kaiserlichen Haus der Große Fürstin Maria Wladimirowna. Das ist der Teil des Höchsten Programmes das Hochschulbildungssystem in dem ehemaligen Russischen Reich zu entwickeln.
Am 29. August und am 2. September traf sich der Große Fürst mit dem Präsident von Transnistrien Herr Igor Smirnow. Die Fragen der Zusammenarbeit der Dynastie und Transnistrien waren besprochen.
Der Besuch dauerte vom 26. August bis 3. September 2010. Der Erbe besuchte Transnistrien und Odessa (die Ukraine).
In Moskau hielt die Moskauer Adel Versammlung am 29. August den runden Tisch an dem Thema „Russland und Zentralasien“. Der runde Tisch war der Diskussion der Relationen Russlands mit den Staaten des Zentralasiens, an erster Stelle Usbekistan und Turkmenistan, gewidmet. Die Teilnehmer diskutierten die Probleme des Verhältnisses zu der gemeinsamen Geschichte von den Staaten und die Rolle von Russland in der Entwicklung und in dem Vorschritt des Region. Die Schätzung ist verschiedene in den Untersuchungen von Historiker und Politiker aus verschiedenen Ländern, aber die Teilnehmer unterstrichen, dass solche Schätzungen immer nur auf die ehrlichen Fakten ohne Fälschung gründen müssen.
Am 30. August war die Konferenz „Die Beziehungen zwischen Russland und Weißrussland“ gehalten. Die Teilnehmer der Konferenz waren die berühmten russischen und belarussischen Politiker und Experten aus liberalen und monarchistischen politischen Parteien und Bewegungen, einschließlich den demokratischen Präsidentschaftskandidat aus Weißrussland Herrn Jaraslau Ramantschuk. Die Monarchistische Seite war von dem Expert aus der Bewegung „Für Glaube und Vaterland“ präsentiert. August 20, 2010 Head of the Russian Imperial House H.I.H. Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna established the Imperial Women's Order of St. Anastasia and approved its Statute.
The Order was established in honour of the Holy Great Martyr Anastasia, who was executed for confessing the Christian faith in 304 during the persecution of Emperor Diocletian, and in memory of the namesake of her first queen of the Romanov Anastasia Romanova (1530 - Moscow, 7 / 20 August 1560).

Daughter of Roman Yurevich Zakhar'in - St George and Ulihi Feodorovna, Anastasia Romanova 3 / 16 February 1547 entered into a marriage with Tsar John IV Terrible. Her marriage to the Tsar was predicted by St. Gennady of Kostroma. She was crowned Holy marriage by Metropolitan of Moscow Macarius. Queen Anastasia exerted a beneficial influence on John IV and enjoyed his warm love and deep respect. First their son Prince Dimitri was killed during the pilgrimage of the royal family in Ferapontov Monastery in 1553. In 1554 Queen Anastasia produced the Tsarevich John, who was killed in 1581. 31 May 1557 Anastasia Romanova gave birth to the future St. Tsar Theodore I Ioannovich. Anastasia Romanova suddenly fell seriously ill in Mozhaisk autumn 1559, and after much agonizing suffering, died in Moscow on 7 / 20 August 1560.

The events of the end of August and the beginning of September 2010 in the Russian monarchical movement were connected to foreign relations of our country.
The Heir of the Throne Grand Duke Georgiy Mikhaylovich held the official visit to Transnistria. Transnistria is a little republic on the banks of Dniester River. The independence of the republic was proclaimed in 1990. It is recognised only by Abkhasia and South Ossetia, because of the official position of Moldova to force Transnistria to return under the sovereignty of Moldova. Two attempts of Moldova to force Transnistria to refuse from independency by use of armed forces in 1990 and 1992 were unsuccessful.

Grand Duke presents gifts to handicapped sportsmen

Grand Duke Georgiy participated in official ceremonies connected to the 20th anniversary of the independence. He opened a monument in honour of prince Grigoriy Potemkin, a famous Russian warlord of XVIII century. Then Grand Duke visited a brandy factory “KVINT” and sport competitions of handicapped people, where the Heir presented gifts to the winners.

Also Grand Duke visited on 1 September the Law Institute in Tiraspol. The Institute is under the patronage of the Head of the Russian Imperial House Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna. It is a part of the Highest Programme to develop higher education system in the former Russian Empire.
On 29 August and on 2 September Grand Duke met to president of Transnistria Sir Igor Smirnoff. The questions of cooperation between the Dynasty and Transnistria were discussed.
The visit continued from 26 August to 3 September 2010. The Heir visited Transnistria and Odessa (the Ukraine).
In Moscow on 29 August the Moscow Nobility Assembly held the round table on topic “Russia and Central Asia”. The round table was dedicated to discussion about relations between Russia and countries of Central Asia, first of all, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. The participants discussed problems in attitude to joint history of the countries and the role of Russia in development and progress of the region. The estimations are different in surveys of historians and politicians from different countries, but, the participants underlined, such estimations shall always be based on true facts with no falsification.
On 30 August in Moscow the conference “The relations between Russia and Belarus” was held. The participants of the conference were famous Russian and Belarusian politicians and experts from liberal and monarchical political parties and movements, including democratic candidate to Belarusian presidency Mr Jaraslau Ramanchuk. The monarchists’ side was presented by an expert from the Movement “For Faith and Fatherland”. The delegates discussed different questions of bilateral relations, current crisis in relations between Alexander Lukashenka and the Kremlin, possibilities to win the general elections by the opposition in Belarus, prospects of further economic and political cooperation between Russia and Belarus.

Ein neues Museum mit der legitimistischen Ausstellung ist geöffnet

In Bezirkszentrum Podolsk, in Moskauer Region, wurden das Museum von Anti-Bolschewismus Wiederstand und das Denkmal dem ersten „Dobrowolets“ (der originale Name der Soldaten in weißen Armeen in dem Russischen Bürgerkrieg 1917-1922) geöffnet.
Die Öffnung des Museums und des Denkmals wurden aufgrund der Spende des russischen Geschäftsmann Wladimir Melikhow möglich. Bei der Eröffnungszeremonie wird das öffentliche Gebet von dem Bischof von Genf und Westeuropa Michail, der speziell Podolsk besuchte, gedient. Auch der Stellv. Vorsitzender des Föderationrates (das Oberhaus des russischen Parlaments) Herr Alexander Torschin und die Vertreter der russischen monarchistischen Organisationen beteiligten.
Die Ausstellung enthaltet die legitimistischen Ausgaben der Jahren 1930 – 1980 von dem Russischen Reichsbund-Orden.

Tätigkeit der Monarchisten in Russland. Juni – Juli 2010

Juni und Juli 2010 waren in der russischen monarchistischen Bewegung ereignisvoll.
Am 2. und 3. Juli wurde in Peter und Pauls Kathedrale in Sankt-Petersburg die Große Fürstin Leonida Georgiewna begraben. Sie war die Auguste Mutter des Haupts von dem Russischen Kaiserlichen Haus Großer Fürstin Maria Wladimirowna. Die Große Fürstin Maria Wladimirowna und Ihr Sohn und Stammhalter Großer Fürst Georgiy Michaylowitsch nahmen an der Beerdigung teil. Die Begräbnisdienst war von den Priester der Sankt-Petersburg Eparchie, von dem Metropolit von Sankt-Petersburg und Ladoga Wladimir leitend. Sein Beileid ausdrückten der Patriarch von Moskau und der ganze Russland Kirill, der König von Spanien Juan Carlos I, der König von Schweden Carl Gustav XVI, die Königin von den Niederlande Beatrix, der König von Belgien Albert II usw.
Alle bedeutendsten russischen Fernsehkanälen machten viele Reportage über der Dienst während dieser Tage. Sie war eine der wichtigsten Nachrichten. Fernsehkanal Russia Today nahm ein Interview mit dem Haupt von dem Russischen Reichsbund-Orden Herrn Georgiy Feodoroff. Herr Feodoroff erklärte sein Verhalten zu der Zukunft des Russischen Kaiserlichen Haus und die Möglichkeit Monarchie in Russland wiederherzustellen.
Die Monarchisten des ganzen ehemaligen Russischen Reich und im Ausland hielten die Trauerdienste zum Andenken der Großen Fürstin Leonida weihende. Die Dienste waren in Moskau, Kiev, Minsk, New York (USA), San Francisco (USA), London (UK) usw. gehalten.
Nach der Beerdigung Ihrer Augusten Mutter hielt am 4. Juni die Große Fürstin Maria Wladimirowna zusammen mit Ihrem Stammhalter Großen Fürst Georgiy Mikhaylowitsch ein offiziellen Treffen mit dem Gouverneur von Sankt-Petersburg Frau Walentina Matwienko.
Die offizielle Trauerempfang der toten Großen Fürstin Leonida weihende war am 9. Juni in Madrid (Spanien) von den Töchter der Große Fürstin gehalten: von der Große Fürstin Maria Wladimirowna und der Prinzessin Helen von Dvina (die Tocher der Großen Fürstin von der ersten Ehe).
Die Tod der Großen Fürstin Leonida Georgiewna veränderte die Pläne der russischen Monarchisten für ihrer Tätigkeit am Ende Mai und Juni 2010, aber die Tätigkeit wird vorgesetzt.
Am 22 Juni beteiligte die Große Fürstin Maria Wladimirowna in Madrid (Spanien) die Fürsorge von dem Fund eine neue Kirche dem Geburt von Christ zu Ehren in Madrid zu bauen.
In Belgorod wurde das Wettkampf in Paintball das Haupt des Russischen Kaiserlichen Haus die Große Fürstin Maria Wladimirowna zu Ehren mit der Beteiligung der lokalen Abteilung des Russischen Reichsbund-Ordens organisiert. Die Mannschaften aus Russland, der Ukraine, Serbien, Argentinien, Venezuela, Ecuador und China nahmen teil.
Das neue politische Saison beginnt in Russland. In Dezember 2011 werden die allgemeinen Wahlen ins Parlament gehalten, und in März finden sich die Wahlen des Präsident gehalten. Darum beginnen die Monarchisten unsere Vorbereitung die Wahlen für monarchistische Propaganda zu benützen. Am 23. Juni entschied der Leiter des Russischen Reichsbund-Ordens die Tätigkeit der rechtsextremen Partei das Große Russland zu unterstützen damit sie für der Beteiligung der Wahlen zu registrieren. Die Leiter des Großen Russlands sind die berühmte russische Monarchisten und Nationalisten. Das Haupt der Partei Herr Andrei Savelev, ein Mitglied des RRb-O, nahm offiziell den Eid zu der Großen Fürstin Maria Wladimirowna in 2005, während seines Wesens als das Mitglied des Parlaments.
Am 8. Juli feierten die Russischen Monarchisten den Jahrestag der Sieg des russischen Heers über die Schwedischen Truppe in der Schlacht von Poltawa in 1709. Die Feierliche Prozession war von den Russischen Monarchisten in Poltawa (jetzt die Ukraine) organisiert und von dem Erzbischof von Poltawa und Mirgorod Philipp gesegnet.
17 Juli war der Tag des Gedächtnis von dem Zar Märtyrer Nikolas II und Seine Auguste Familie, die von den Kommunisten am 17. Juli 1918 getötet waren. In allen Kirchen des ehemaligen Russischen Reiches waren die Göttlichen Liturgien mit den Gebeten dem Sankt Zar Märtyrer gedient.
In Kostroma wurde am 16.-17. Juli die Konferenz „die Zar Tage“ mit der Beteiligung des Leiters der Kanzlei von dem Haupt des Russischen Kaiserlichen Haus Herrn Alexander Sakatow und den Vertreter der Russischen monarchistischen Organisationen gehalten.

New Museum with Legitimist Exhibition

In district-centre Podolsk in Moscow region the Museum of Anti-Bolshevism Resistance and the monument to the First “Dobrovolets” (original name of soldiers in white armies during the Russian Civil War of 1917 – 1922) were opened.

The opening of the museum and the monument became possible owing donation by Russian businessman Vladimir Melikhoff. At the opening ceremony the public prayer was served by bishop of Geneva and West Europe Mikhail who specially visited Podolsk. Also the Vice-Chairman of the Council of Federation (the upper chamber of the Russian Parliament) Mr Alexander Torshin and representatives of the Russian monarchist organisations participated too.
The exhibition includes the legitimist editions of 1930 – 1980-s by the Russian Imperial Union-Order.

June and July 2010 were full of events in the Russian monarchical movement.
On 2 and 3 June in St. Peter and Paul’s Cathedral in Saint Petersburg the Dowager Grand Duchess Leonida Georgievna was buried. She was August Mother of the Head of the Russian Imperial House Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna. Grand Duchess Maria and Her Son and Heir Grand Duke Georgiy Mikhaylovich participated in the burial. The funeral service was held by the priests of the Saint Petersburg diocese headed by Metropolitan of Saint Petersburg and Ladoga Vladimir. Official condolence to Grand Duchess were sent by Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, King of Spain Juan Carlos I, King of Sweden Carl Gustav XVI, Queen of the Netherlands Beatrix, King of Belgium Albert II etc.
All leading Russian TV channels made a lot of reports during these days about the service. It was one of top news. TV Channel Russia Today took an interview with the Commander of the Russian Imperial Union-Order Sir George Fedoroff. Sir Fedoroff explained his attitude to the future of the Russian Imperial House and possibility to restore monarchy in Russia.
Monarchists all over the former Russian Empire and abroad held their mourning services dedicated to the memory of Grand Duchess Leonida. The services were held in Moscow, Kiev, Minsk, New York (USA), San Francisco (USA), London (UK) etc.
Following the burial of Her August Mother on 4 June Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna together with Her Heir Grand Duke Georgiy Mikhaylovich held official meeting to the Governor of Saint Petersburg Mrs Valentina Matvienko.
Official mourning receipt in honour of dead Grand Duchess Leonida was held on 9 June in Madrid (Spain) by daughters of the Grand Duchess: Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna and princess Helen of Dvina (a daughter of Grand Duchess Leonida from the first marriage).
Obviously the death of Grand Duchess Leonida Georgievna changed the plans of the Russian monarchists to their activity in the end of May and June 2010, but this activity was continued.
On 22 June in Madrid (Spain) Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna participated in the board of trustees of the Fund to build a new Orthodox church in honour of the Birth of Christ in Madrid.
In Belgorod with participation of local department of the Russian Imperial Union-Order was organised international competition in paintball in honour of the Head of the Russian Imperial House Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna. Teams from the Russian Federation, the Ukraine, Serbia, Argentine, Venezuela, Ecuador, and China participated.
New political season begins in Russia. December 2011 to be held the general elections to the Parliament, and March 2012 the elections of the President. That is why monarchists began our preparations to use the elections for monarchical propaganda. On 23 June the Commander of the Russian Imperial Union-Order decided to support the activity of the right-wing party the Great Russia to be registered for participation in the elections. The rulers of the Great Russia are famous Russian monarchists and nationalists. The party’s leader is Mr Andrei Savelev, a member of the RIU-O, being the member of the Russian Parliament in 2005 he officially took the oath to the Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna.
On 8 July Russian monarchists celebrated the anniversary of the victory of the Russian Army over the Swedish troops in the Poltava battle of 1709. The solemn procession was organised by Russian monarchists in Poltava (now, the Ukraine), it was blessed by archbishop of Poltava and Mirgorod Philippe.
17 July is a day to remember the Tsar Martyr Nicholas II and His August Family who were killed by the communists on 17 July 1918. All over the former Russian Empire in churches were served Divine Liturgies with prayers to the Saint Tsar Martyr.
In Kostroma (a regional centre in the central Russia, north to Moscow, south to Saint Petersburg) on 16 – 17 July the conference “the Tsar’s Days” was held with participation of the Director of the Chancellery of the Head of the Russian Imperial House Mr Alexander Zakatov and representatives of the Russian monarchists’ organisations.

All over the world requiems were served over the dead Grand Duchess Leonida Georgievna, August Mother of the Head of the Russian Imperial House Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna. She died on 23 May 2010 in Madrid at the age of 95.
Orthodox requiems were served in many cities and towns of Russia: Saint Petersburg (in the cathedral in honour of St. Peter and Paul), Moscow, Irkutsk, Belgorod, Saransk etc. As well as the requiem was served in the capital of the Ukraine Kiev. Also the services were held in the United States (New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New Jersey) and the United Kingdom (London).
In London also the Catholic requiem was served in a Catholic church.

Unser das Verhalten zum Heiligen Orthodoxen Glauben

Das ideologische Fundament des RKO-B bildet der Heilige Orthodoxe Glaube.
Die Ideologie des RKB-O beruht auf rein geistigen und religioesen Grundlagen sowie auf den jahrtausendealten Erfahrungen der russischen orthodoxen Staatlichkeit.
Das Wohlergehen der Menschheit auf Erden ist nur unter der Bedingung ihrer Unterordnung dem Willen Gottes moeglich. Die notwendige Voraussetzung dafuer bildet die Existenz wirklich tugendhafter Menschen, wahrhaft glaeubiger Christen auf dieser Welt. Die Erziehung der Jugend und des gesamten Volkes soll im Geiste der Wahrheit Gottes und der Anerkennung der Notwendigkeit erfolgen, Gottes Gebote und die Glaubenslehre zu befolgen.
Russlands Wiedergeburt und die Rueckkehr des russischen Voljes zu seinen geistigen Idealen ist nur durch die Absage von allen gottesfeindlichen und ketzerischen Irrlehren, durch Busse und folglich durch die Unterwerfung den Geboten Gottes und der Lehre der Heiligen Oekumenischen Apostolischen Orthodoxen Kirche moeglich.
Der Zusammenschluss unserer Bemuehungen um diese klar formulierte Ideologie, die durch unzaehlige, vor den Heiligen Wundertaetigen Ikonen der Mutter Gottes vollbrachte Wunder geheiligt und auf der jahrtausendealten historischen Vergangenheit unseres Volkes, auf dem heiligen Werk des Apostelgleichen Grossfuersten Wladimir, des heiligen Sergius von Radonesh und aller Heiligen, die das Russische Land erleuchtet haben, der Heiligen Kaiserlichen Maertyrer, unserer grossen Monarchen, sowie der Heldentaten unseres Christus liebenden Heeres gegruendet ist, bildet unser erstes Ziel. Der RKB-O haelt es fuer notwendig, die geistige Wiedergeburt und Erneuerung der Russen sowie die Rueckkehr des Primats der Orthodoxen Kirche ins Leben der russischen Gesellschaft und des russischen Staates zu foerdern.

Aufbauprinzipien des Staatslebens

Der RKB-O strebt es an, das Staatsleben auf den Prinzipien der Gerechtigkeit, Justiz und eines rationalen Verhaeiltnisses zwischen den Rechten und Pflichten jeder Einzelperson aufzubauen.

Unsere Ansichten bezueglich der Staatseinrichtung

Die erste, durch Gott eingerichtete Macht auf Erden ist die Macht des Familienvaters. Dieser Macht entspringt die Macht des Sippenoberhauptes, danach die Macht des Monarchen, die klassen- und perteilos ist, in deren Rahmen die Autokratie nicht durch den Willen von Parteioberhaeuptern, sondern durch das sittliche Gesetz der Kirche und den Willen Gottes eingeschraenkt ist, was voll und ganz mit der Lehre unseres Heilands uebereinstimmt.
Der Zar vollzieht Seine vaeterliche Macht gottesfuerchtig und zum Wohle seiner Untertanen. Der Zar ist in erster Linie Gottes Knecht und der Fuehrer Seines Volkes auf dem Weg des Dienstes an der Wahrheit Gottes.
Die Oberste Macht soll dem Selbstherrschaftlichen Monarchen gehoeren, der es gelobt, die Reinheit des Orthodoxebn Glaubens in Heiligkeit zu wahren. Folglich ist die selbstherrschaftliche Macht des Monarchen nicht durch unlautere Parteiziele, sondern durch den unerschuetterlichen Grundsatz des Lehre der Heiligen Orthodoxen Kirche sowie durch das Grundgesetz des Russischen Kaiserreiches strict eingeschraenkt.
“Die Selbstherrschaft, – schreibt unser groesster Denker Dostojewski, – ist eine ebenso absolute, ewige, Goettliche Wahrheit, wie die Orthodoxie”.
Das Sakrament der heiligen Salbung macht die Person des Zaren heilig und verleiht Ihm einen besonderen Segen des Heiligen Geistes, damit Er die Buerde der Herrschaft tragen kann, erhoeht Sein Ansehen beim Volk und erhebt den Zaren auf die Ebene des hoechsten Schirmherrn der Orthodoxen Kirche und deren Beschuetzers gegen Ketyer und all Ihre Feinde, wobei der Heilige Johannes Chrysoxtomos gelehrt hatte, dass die Macht des Orthodoxen Herrschers das Prinzip bildet, welches das Erscheinen des Antichristen aufhaelt.
Die historisch gewachsene Formel des Wahlspruchs des russischen Staates: “Fuer Glauben, Zar und Vaterland!” – beschreibt ganz kurz das Wesen der russischen Staatlichkeit und buerdet jedem Russen die Ehrenpflicht auf, bis diesem Ideal zu seinem Lebensende mit unbeugsamer Treue zu dienen.
Die Mitglieder des RKO-B (die Kaiserlichen) halten deine moeglichst weitgehende Beteiligung der Oeffentlichkeit an der Regierung des Staates und insbesondere an der Kontrolle ueber die Taetigkeit des buerokratischen Apparats fuer notwendig und fuer nuetzlich, um Unehrlichkeit, Korruption und Amtsmissbrauch durch Beamte unterschiedlicher Behoerdenebenen unterbinden zu koennen.
Die Staatsduma muss als eine nach dem Staendeprinzip zu waehlende Volksvertretung gesetzesberatende Funktionen haben und an der Erarbeitung von Gesetzen teilnehmen.
Das Endziel der RKO-B-Taetigkeit besteht in der Wiederherstellung des Russisch-Orthodoxen Zarenreiches. Die Kaiserlichen geben zu, dass die Loesung des gesamtnationalen russischen Problems letztendlich von den Voelkern Russlands selbst, vom Masse deren Erleuchtung, deren geistigen Selbstbewusstseins und des Erwachens ihres Willens abhaengt, fuer denn Glauben unserer Vaeter und Grossvaeter zu kaempfen. Eine allseitige Beschleunigung und Erweiterung dieses Prozesses ist eine unerschuetterlichen Aufgabe des Ordens-Bundes.
Der RKO-B haelt es fuer notwendig, die Erziehung eines jeden Russen im Geiste eines festen und treuen monarchischen Rechtsbewusstseins allseitig zu foerdern.

Unser Verhalten zur Dynastie Romanov

Die Kaiserlichen erkennen den vom Russischen Reichstag 1613 geschworenenTreueeid dem Hause Romanov gegenueber nach wie vor als gueltig an. Die Konstituierende Urkunde des Kirchenkonzils und des Reichstages von1613 zu Moskau ueber die Berufung von Michael Feodorowitsch Romanov auf den Zarenthron bildet einen unabdingbaren Bestandteil des RKO-B-Satzung.
Zur Zeit ist Ihre Kaiserliche Hoheit Herrscherin Grossfuerstin MARIA WLADIMIROWNA laut Thronfolgegesetz von 1797 und laut Verordnung ueber die Kaiserliche Familie von 1886 das Oberhaupt des Russischen Kaiserhauses. Ihr Erbe ist Seine kaiserliche Hoheit Zesarewitsch (Kronprinz) und Grossfuerst GEORGIJ MICHAILOWITSCH.
Der RKO-B haelt es fuer notwendig, den Zusammenschluss aller russischer Monarchisten um unsere legitime Herrscherin allseitig zu foerdern, um Ihre Person und des Russischen Thron vor jeglichen eventuellen Angriffen zu beschuetzen.

Unsere Wirtschaftsansichten

Der Grundsatz des Privateigentums bildet die Grundlage der Rechtsordnungund ist vom Staat strikt zu wahren. Volle individuelle Freiheit und eine weitgehende Foerderung der Privatinitiative und des Unternehmergeistes muessen die Wirtschaftsgrundlage unseres Landes bilden, was im Kaiserlichen Russland auch der Fall war.
Der Grund und Boden soll auf der Basis des Privateigentumsrechtes wuerdigen Besitzern gehoeren, und zawr, nach dem Prinzip der Stolypinschen Reformen, um den Bauern-Grundbesitz wiederherzustellen.
Das gewerkschaftliche Vereinigungsrecht wird durch Staatssgesetze garantiert.
Die Kaiserlichen teilen nicht die Meinung ueber die Nuetzlichkeit der Verstaatlichung diverser Industriebereiche. Der Staat soll den Mangel an Ptivatinitiative regeln und ergaenzen, der Ersatz eines Privatbesitzers durch einen Staatsbeamten hat jedoch nirgends und niemals Nutzen gebracht.

Unsere Nationalitaetenpolitik und unser Verhalten zu Landsleuten im Ausland

Der historisch gewachsene Organismus des Russischen Kaiserreiches ist gegen alle Versuche zu schuetzen, ihn zu zerstueckeln. Die Kaiserlichen sind gegen jegliche separatistische Unterfangen und gegen jegliche Faelschung der historischen Wahrheit ueber unsere Vergangenheit.
Flle Voelker Russlands haben die gleichen Pflichten gegenueber dem Russischen Kaiserreich und geniessen darin vollkommen gleiche Rechte.
Der RKO-B geht davon aus, dass der Teil der Voelker Russlands, die sich in der auslaendischen Diaspora befindet, nicht berechtigt ist, sich seiner Verpflichtung zu entziehen, seine Pflicht gegenueber der Heimat erfuellen zu muessen. In disem Zusammenhang ist der RKO-B bestrebt, alle Russen, die offen fuer Glauben, Zar und Vaterlabd eintreten, in seinen Reihen zusammenzuschliessen.
Ein ausserordentlich wichtiges Problem, dass schon mehrmals eine bedeutende Rolle im Schicrsal unserer Heimat gespielt hatte, ist der Russenhass, der szstematisch durch Russlands Feinde geschuert wird. Die allseitige Bekaempfung des Russenhasses ist ein direkter Auftrag des RKO-B.
Der RKO-B haelt es fuer notwendig, den Erhalt der territorialen Integritaet und Souveraenitaet des Russischen Kaiserreiches allseitig zu foerdern.

Unser Verhalten gegenueber Titeln

Die persoenlichen Verdienste sind das einzige Mass fuer die Rechte eines Buergers. Titel und Wuerden koennen erhalten bleiben, duerfen jedoch keine Rolle bei der Bestimmung der gesellschaftlichen Position des Einzelnen im Staat spielen.

Unser Verhalten gegenueber der “kommunistischen Opposition”

Die Kaiserlichen muessen stets dessen eingedenk sein, dass der Kommunismus unser “Feind Nummer Eins” ist und bleibt, mit dem kein, nicht mal ein zeitweiliger, Waffenstillstand moeglich ist.
Der RKO-B geht von der Ueberlegung aus, dass jeder russische Patriot sowieso tagtaeglich nach Kraeften Propagandaarbeit leistet und stets, im Masse seiner Kraefte, dem Kampf gegen die Ueberreste des kommunistischen Unheils fuehrt, dass in unserem Leben so tief verwurzelt ist. Die Bemuehungen einzelner Patrioten werden aufeinander abgestimmt und gebuendelt.

Großherzogin Leonida Georgievna Romanowa stirbt im Alter von 95 Jahren

Großherzogin Leonida Georgievna, eines der führenden Mitglieder der von den russischen Bolschewisten vom Thron vertriebenen Romanow-Dynastie, starb in Spanien, wie ein Sprecher am Montag mitteilte. Sie wurde 95 Jahre alt.

Leonida, ihre Unterstützer kennen sie als Königswitwe Kaiserin von Rußland, war die Witwe des Großherzogs Vladimir Kirillovich, der bis zu seinem Tod 1992 das Haupt der Romanow-Dynastie und Prätendent des russischen Thrones war.

Sie war auch die Mutter von Großherzogin Maria Vladimirovna, dem jetzigen Haupt des Hauses Romanow. Großherzog Vladimir Kirillovich war ein Urenkel von Alexander II, dem drittletzten Zar von Rußland.

„Leonida starb in der Nacht von Sonntag auf Montag in Madrit. Sie wird, wie es ihr Wunsch war, an der Seite ihres Ehegatten Vladimir Kirillovich in Sankt Petersburg begraben werden,“ teilte Alexander Zakatov, der Direktor des Büros des Hauses Romanow AFP mit.

Die im Jahre 1914 in Tbilisi in Georgien geborene Leonida war die letzte lebende Vertreterin der Romanow-Familie, die vor der russischen Revolution auf dem Gebiet des Russischen Reiches geboren wurde, fügte er hinzu.

Die Romanow-Dynastie wurde in der bolschewistischen Revolution von 1917 vom Thron vertrieben und viele ihrer führenden Mitglieder, darunter Zar Nikolaus II., wurden von den Bolschewisten ermordet.

Nach dem Ende des Kommunismus gibt es in den letzten Jahren eine vorsichtige Bewegung hin zu einer offiziellen Rehabilitierung der Reputation der Romanows.

Der Höchste Besuch in die USA wurde vollendet

Das Haupt dem Russischen Kaiserlichen Haus Große Fürstin Maria Wladimirovna beendete Ihren Höchsten Besuch in die USA, besuchte Los Angeles, Kalifornien, von 1. bis 4. Mai 2010.
Am 1. Mai wurde Ihre Kaiserliche Hoheit am Flughafen Los Angeles von dem Orthodoxen Klerus der Stadt und von der Delegation des Russischen Reichsbund-Ordens, die von Iwan Podwalow geleitet wurde, abgeholt. Die Große Fürstin besuchte in Los Angeles Hollywood, die Allee von den Sternen und das Theater Kodak, das für die Oskar Preis Zeremonie bekannt ist.
Am 2. Mai betete die Große Fürstin während der Liturgie an der Sankt Verklärung Kathedrale von Los Angeles. Nach der Liturgie waren die Erlasse von der Großen Fürstin verlautgebaren, damit den Grafen Konownizin mit dem Orden der Heiligen Anna der III Klasse und Herrn Podwalow mit der Medaille den Orden der Heiligen Anna zu Ehren auszuzeichnen. Dann beteiligte sich die Große Fürstin an einem Empfang, wo der berühmte Komponist Birykow ein Konzert von Tschaikowskij und Rakhmaninow Musik gab. Nach dem Empfang besuchte Ihre Kaiserliche Hoheit die Universal Studio. Am Abend war die Große Fürstin Maria Wladimirovna der ehrenvolle Gast von dem ersten Russischen Ball in Los Angeles.
Am 3. Mai besuchte die Große Fürstin Beverly Hills, wo fand das Treffen mit dem Bürgermeister und dem Haupt der Polizei statt.
Am 4. Mai verließ Ihre Kaiserliche Hoheit die USA und flog nach Madrid.

The RIU-O was established in 1929 in Paris, France, by Russian emigrants, who left Russia after the Civil War of 1917 – 1922.
From the moment of its foundation the RIU-O united Russian emigrants, but a lot of native people of the countries where the emigrants lived also would like to help and support us and became the members of the RIU-O.
In 1990, at the time of perestroika, the RIU-O began to develop its activity at the territory of Russia. In 2008 the residence of the Commander of the RIU-O was transmitted from New York, the USA, to Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Nowadays the RIU-O operates in the Russian Federation, the Ukraine, Belarus, the United States of America (Representative Offices in New York and San Francisco), Canada (Ontario), Mexico (Mexico City), Australia (Melbourne), the United Kingdom (London), Germany (Munich), Italy (Rome), Sweden (Stockholm), and the Czech Republic (Prague).

Am 23. April 2010 kam die Große Fürstin nach San Francisco (Kalifornien) auf Einladung des Erzbischofs Kirill von San Francisco und Westamerika. Am Flughafen wurde Ihre Kaiserliche Hoheit von dem Erzbischof und von der Delegation des Russischen Reichsbund-Ordens abgeholt. Die Delegation war von dem Mitglied des Obersten Rates des RR-O Herrn Georgij Kumanskij geleitet.
Das ist der dritte Besuch des Hauptes von der Russischen Dynastie nach den USA. 1979 und 1988 besuchte der Große Fürst Wladimir Kirillowitsch den USA, zum ersten Mal aus Anlaß der 50. Wiederkehr des Gründungstags des RR-O, und zum zweiten Mal um sich an dem Feiern des Jahrtausends der Taufe Russlands zu beteiligen.
Vom 24. April bis 1. Mai besuchte die Große Fürstin das Russische Center, den Russischen Friedhof, die Orthodoxen Kirchen und die Organisationen der Russischen Menschen, die sich in San Francisco befinden. Wahrscheinlich besuchte Ihre Kaiserliche Hoheit Fort Ross, die ehemalige russische Kolonie in Kalifornien.
Am 29. April veranstaltete der Russische Reichsbund-Orden einem Empfang das Haupt von der Dynastie zu Ehren aus Anlaß des Höchsten Besuches.
Am 1. Mai ließ die Große Fürstin San Francisco und fuhr nach Los Angeles ab.

On the occasion of the 200th year of death of Queen Luise, the Foundation for Prussian Castles and Gardens, so the house of Prussia, proclaimed 2010 as year of Luise ("Luisenjahr"). Until today, historians unanimously acknowledge that Queen Louise played a key role in preventing Prussia to collapse internally after the heavy military defeat at the Battle of Jena and Auerstedt on 14 October 1806. Legendary is also an encounter of Luise with Napoleon Bonaparte on 6 July 1807 in Tilsit.

The newspaper Die Welt reports about the ambiguous relationship of modern Germany to Prussia. On the one hand, the State of Prussia was disbanded in 1947 by the victorious powers of World War II as a "hotbed of militarism", on the other hand one can historically not even think of Germany without Prussia. Already the fact, that radical democrats had to extort forcibly the commitmet to "Deutschtum" from King Frederick William IV of Prussia at the March Revolution of 1948 gives evidence how false and unfair the accusation of Prussia as the "hoard of the exaggerated german identity ("Hort der Deutschtümelei") actually is.

The German Monarchist Society plans for July 2010 the reestablishment of the Queen Luise Union ("Königin Luise Bund"), a monarchist womens organistion, that was banned by the Nazis in 1934.

She was a great woman, great human being and she loved so much the Russian Empire all her life and so much more since she married with her husband Mr. Vadim Olhovich in 1948. Both teached to their family to love Russia and it’s Imperial History.

Del 30 de enero al 3 de febrero de 2010 visitó Rusia Su Alteza Imperial el Gran Duque Gueorgui Mihjailóvich hijo de su Alteza Imperial la Gran Duquesa María Vladimírovna, Cabeza de la Casa Imperial Rusa.

From 24 to 29 January 2010 the XVIII Annual Christmas Lectures were held in Moscow by the Russian Orthodox Church. There were a lot of questions which were discussed at the forum. From this year the fundamental knowledge in religious culture and ethics will be learnt in state schools in Russia. The question to spread basic religious education in society was the main topic. Another important topic was struggle against juvenal justice. From this year Orthodox chaplains firstly from Tsars’ time will begin their official service in the Russian Army. Several theses were dedicated to the problem to prepare chaplains.
Representatives of the Russian Imperial Union-Order participated in the work of section dedicated to the problems of collaboration of Orthodox organisations in Russia. The RIU-O supported the idea to unite efforts to prepare celebrations of the 200 years anniversary of the Victory in the I Patriotic War in 2012 and the 400 years anniversary of the accession of the Romanoff Dynasty to the Throne in 2013. Also the RIU-O supported the idea to continue work to restore historic names of Russian regions, cities, towns, streets etc.
Also the representatives of the Russian Imperial Union-Order participated in the work of section dedicated to the problems of the Orthodox views on economics. The questions of ethics in marketing, protection of customers’ rights, charity were discussed. The RIU-O supported the main ideas of the forum but proposed to decrease the degree of populism in some projects and not try to bondage businessmen: the society shall remember which functions to be held by the business community and which are the care of all citizens.

In December 2009 a Head of the Russian Imperial House Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna visited Istanbul (Turkey) from 10 to 15 December. The visit was official. Grand Duchess met with representatives of the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Ottoman Imperial House. Under the aegis of the Grand Duchess a charitable ball was organised in Istanbul. The money collected at the ball will be spent for education of poor children from families of Turks and Russians. Also Grand Duchess opened the Russian Cultural Centre in Istanbul.

On 23 December Grand Duchess celebrated Her Birthday, She was 56 years old. Russian monarchists collected for prayers in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

Tomorrow. Father, there was a controversy about monarchical project for Russia in the newspaper. It is logical to hear monarchists.

Father NIKON. I recently returned from Madrid, where fulfilled an honorable mission to convey the message of His Holiness Patriarch to the Dowager Grand Duchess Leonida Georgievna in connection with her 95 anniversary. I visited the imperial family, raised in a small elevator to the fifth floor of a rather ordinary house in one of the central avenues of Madrid. The second time in my life I was in a modest apartment of August Family. With great emotion I greeted an amazing woman. Her personal history was affected by the whole tragic history of the XX century. She - the last of the imperial family, who was born before the revolution. Her grandfather - Maj. Gen. suites Emperor Nicholas II, Prince Alexander Iraklievich Bagration-aineee in the 1918 year was killed in Pyatigorsk. Her father left early twenties, from Georgia, but not finding a place for himself in exile, returned back having heard about the relief measures. Grand Duchess studied in Soviet schools in Georgia. When the clouds again began to thicken in the late 1920-s, with the help of Maxim Gorky, they again went to the West. Surprising connection between proletarian writer and the Georgian royal family. However, among the aristocracy at the beginning of the century it was fashionable to support young talents of the people. Young Gorky found refuge in the house of Prince Bagration and subsequently proved to be thankful.

I delivered the message of His Holiness the Patriarch, which said a lot of warm words about the significance of the Grand Duchess, her ministry: "With perseverance and patience, you carried this burden, to help our contemporaries to touch, it would seem, almost lost to the historical traditions of service to the Fatherland. Russian Orthodox church strongly suggests that the Romanov family in the harsh conditions of exile kept the spark of faith and loyalty to the Motherland ".

Tomorrow. The current controversy surrounding the Romanov dynasty, regarding "misconduct" of Grand Duke Cyril Vladimirovich during the revolution.

Father NIKON. Unfortunately, when it comes to 1917 Russian egg-heads are especially superficial and stereotypical - read a dozen works and think they know Russian history.

One of the favorite myths - a red ribbon, which supposedly had the Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich, August grandfather of Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna. Imagine the Grand Duke, walking the streets of Petrograd with the bow. Oh, probably, dozens of journalists of metropolitan newspapers could not miss such a juicy fact. Open the newspaper on March 3, which describes the arrival of the Grand Duke in the Duma. There are all the details what the Grand Duke told, and what M.Rodzianko replied and others, but there is no information about the bow. For the first time a red bow emerges already in exile when the adherents of the Provisional Government, Constituent Assembly, once broken trough, trying to put together a sort of anti-Bolshevik fronts, including back and grass, and orchard, from monarchists to socialists, and the figure of the Grand Duke Cyril Vladimirovich, nearest to the succession was not suitable to them categorically.

The Great Prince, being a senior in the Imperial House, thought that he had no right to evade the burden that falls on him by will of God. And he was attacked by the people directly involved in the overthrow of the monarchy. For them the most convenient unifying figure, but in any case not a monarchist, appeared to be Grand Duke Nicholas, the former Supreme Commander, Emperor’ uncle. He was pleased to play the role of leader of the emigration, and so that the national-conservative elements could not rally around the Grand Duke Cyril Vladimirovich, started this campaign. Suddenly, all remembered the red bow and this gossip started to go from one book to another. There is no direct witness of this most bow! But I would like to draw attention to the more important question. The enemies of the monarchy say that the Grand Duke prior of the Emperor’ abdication went to the State Duma. So the aim of his visit to Duma was - to prevent the abdication! On March 1st in St. Petersburg Grand Duke was the only member of the royal family, who, not having any news of the Emperor, left Mogilev, but have not arrived at Tsarskoe Selo, in a situation where, admittedly, the imperial government simply fled. Protopopov, minister of the Interior, responsible for restoring order, went to the Duma, and asked for his own arrest. In these circumstances, the Grand Duke, with a more or less efficient fighting part, considered that it is important to gain time, retain interim committee of the Duma from some ill-advised policies. Trying to influence Rodzianko, he came to him. Contrary to popular belief, the State Duma was dissolved, its meetings were suspended. So the chairman of the Duma, the chamberlain of the Imperial Court, Mikhail Rodzianko, remained the only legitimate officer of the Empire in Petrograd. Grand Duke came to him and offered his support. Unfortunately, Rodzianko was already fascinated by the revolutionary ideas, and declined this support. On the day of the Imperial Family’ arrest Grand Duke, resigned from his post as commander of the Navy Crew Guards.

And interviews of Grand Duke and other Imperial Family members published in the newspapers are full of distortions of words, outright fraudulent. Even today, when there are many alternative media, it is often difficult to restore the truth. What to say about the situation, when the press was actively involved in the process of overthrowing the throne?

By the logic of our grief-monarchists, the Grand Duke just had to sit tight, wait for the abdication - and he would have been an honest man. But the Grand Duke thought that he has no right to sit idly, and must do something. There is a detailed study made by the Director of the Imperial House Office Alexander Zakatov of the February days of 1917 and the role of the Grand Duke Cyril Vladimirovich. All Grand Duke activity was analyzed by minute precision. His proposed the imperial government to restore order, he attempted to strengthen minister of war, and the mayor of Petrograd. But, unfortunately, those on whom the Emperor put the mission to restore order, did nothing, just going from one building to another, and finally surrendered to the revolutionaries, and the Great Prince, left without support, began to act at his own risk, considering that his duty was to fully utilize all opportunities to save the empire. Yes, it is not happened. And those who tried not to be involved later started throwing stones at him. Most meanness is impossible to think.

Tomorrow. Imperial Family in exile - "questionable contacts", "collaboration".

Father NIKON. If now somebody trying to convince our gullible compatriots that the Imperial House was an advocate of intervention in Soviet Russia, then in exile Cyril was accused of what he was going to compromise with the Soviet regime. Initially, the position of Grand Duke Cyril Vladimirovich was in the fact that he is not the Emperor of emigration, but he is the Emperor of all the Russian people. Assuming the title of Custodian of the Imperial throne, he issued an appeal to the Russian army, where were remarkable words: "No two Russian armies, is a single Russian Army, standing on both sides of the border." In 1925 he published a statement in which stated: "Once again there are calls in parts of emigration to speak against the Bolsheviks on the side of a foreign armed force. I openly announce that I am against foreign intervention." At the end of 1932 a large emigration was strongly against the Christmas message of Emperor Cyril. He wrote about big construction process which is taking place in the Motherland and it is a crime to ignore it. Then, in the 30-s, in one of the manifestos of the army, he said, "Yes, today, this is known as the Red Army, but on its banner all the more clearly favor the eternal word - Russia."

Do not forget that the main backbone of the dynasty in the thirties was the party of Young Russians, who felt it necessary to preserve the best that has been accumulated over the years of Soviet power, and to connect it with the tradition of Imperial Russia, hence their famous slogan: "The Tsar and the Soviets."

Emperor Cyril spoke against revenge and restitution. That's why he had to work very hard - Imperial House suffered attacks both the left and, alas, right.

Regarding contacts with the German nationalists. The Emperor realized that the First World War, the clash of European powers led to the disappearance of the three great empires. He believed that it was important to try to put an end to this feud. When he was contacted by influential circles grouped around General Erich Ludendorff, he felt that he had no right to reject their support. The circle included Ludendorff and Hitler, who was not Chancellor of Germany, his political biography practically just begun. Then, surrounded by Hitler were strong pro-Russian sympathies. German of Baltic origin Max Erwin von Scheubner-Richter influenced Hitler, he tried to unite the group. Since November 1923, the Munich "Beer Hall Putsch" and the death of Scheubner-Richter, Hitler's mood changed, his position gradually became anti-Russian, which led to the well-known result. Of course, it is very easy to judge now, when we know of what happened later, to accuse someone in the short-sightedness, "not those" contacts. But at least it's not very honest.

The Second World War highly polarized the emigration. Many Russian people were in different camps. Very difficult situation with the Russian emigres were in occupied France. Many were arrested in particular secretary of the imperial family of Rear Admiral George Graf was in concentration camp. In 1944, he actually was interned in Germany, as they say "he was strongly encouraged to go to Germany”.

Any unbiased researcher will see that there was nothing similar to collaboration. We know, as in postwar France is very meticulously checked all the cooperation with the occupation administration. Significantly, the Grand Duke was not charged with any claims.

Even after the fall of the communist regime, when many leaders of the liberal wing began to pin their hopes on Western aid, the Grand Duke insisted that we, Russians, should rely on ourselves and be very cautious about foreign participation in our affairs, so that Russia does not become the economic colony of the West. The same line continues to the present Head of Russian Imperial House, Empress Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna, who does not consider herself an emigrant, but the person of contemporary Russia. The Imperial Family has never taken foreign citizenship: at the earliest opportunity in 1992, the Grand Duchess received Russian passport.

Her sincere patriotism is confirmed by such a funny and eloquent episode. In 1964 in Madrid took place the final match at the European Cup football. To the capital of Franco's Spain came the Soviet team. Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich and his family were invited by General Franco's government at the podium and watched the match. As you know, the Spaniards won 2:1, and eleven years old Grand Duchess was asked by someone from the Spanish grandees: Are you happy victory, Maria has publicly declared that she supported the Russian team, and they lost only because their boots were worst than boots of Spanish players.

Tomorrow. What is the Imperial House of Russia today, what do you think about its meaning?

Father NIKON. I believe that today, the Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna is a symbol of the unity of the peoples of Russia. Last year, the Grand Duchess was asked in the Central Election Committee: Do you participate in the voting. She replied that she did not participate in some elections in Russia, as the head of Russian Imperial House can’t divide her compatriots to parties they all are equally dear to her, regardless of party affiliation. And it is not just fine words. In 2003, the Grand Duchess visited the Volgograd region. She was accepted by the Governor Maksyuta, who is member of the Communist Party Central Committee. About her visit to Ulyanovsk there was warmest article in local Communist newspaper.

Many in exile do not understand the relationship of Russian Imperial House, to members of the Russia army. How she could reward the former Soviet officers with the Imperial awards. But for the Grand Duchess important is not the "politeness” but and achievements and services to the people. Recently we have experienced the death anniversary of the Hero of Russia, Colonel General Gennady Troshev. On his uniform of the Order of St. Nicholas was side by side with Soviet and modern Russia's military awards. I think that is the clearest symbol of the unity of our people and the continuity of our history.

The most important event in May of this year was the highest visit to the Pridnestrovskuyu Moldavskuyu Republic. During the week there were a lot of meaningful events. This is the decision to take under the Highest patronage Tiraspol Interior Ministry legal Institute. And the fact that the Grand Duchess became the godmother of the Republic Vice-President Lieutenant-General Alexander Korolev. And a genuine love and gratitude with which the residents met the head of Russian Imperial House, seeing her as a symbol of Russian support of the great Western imperial enclave in the former Soviet Union.

It must be said about the immense contribution of Russian Imperial House in restoring the unity of the Russian Church. Imperial Family has never adhered to any one jurisdiction, always stressing its neutrality with respect to internal church disputes. The fact that Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna as head of Russian Imperial House, following her father supported the Most August, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, has become a weighty contribution to the reunification of the parts of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Tomorrow. In the 90-s everybody were intrigued by the news that the Tsarevich preparing to enter the Suvorov school.

Father NIKON. Unfortunately, the desire of the Grand Duke to receive military training in Russia stumbled on the political opposition of Yeltsin's leadership and the initiative was stopped at the level of the Presidential Administration, headed by Chubais.

Grand Duke graduated from Oxford, he is a lawyer. He worked in the European Parliament, then for two years at the agency of the European Commission on Nuclear Safety in Luxembourg. Since last November, was appointed advisor to Chief Executive Officer of Norilsk Nickel and defends the interests of Russia in the Nickel Institute in Brussels. There is a real trade war against Russia the European Commission is trying to link the supply of nickel to Europe, with regular special permit. Russia categorically disagrees, and now all the efforts of the Grand Duke are directed to defense the positions of our country.

In April, the Grand Duke made a trip to Norilsk, where descended to a depth of nearly two thousand meters in the mine called "Komsomolsk".

Tomorrow. Implementation of monarchical project usually provokes the concern regarding a possible crack in the system, starting with restitution and ending with aggravation of interethnic relations, until the collapse of Russia.

Father NIKON. Imperial House of Russia has always opposed the indiscriminate demolition of everything. Moreover, the Grand Duchess stresses that we should concentrate on construction, rather than destruction. Recently in an interview with the empress there was discussion about monuments and their renaming. Grand Duchess said that now in Spain she is witnessing a campaign to erase from the national memory of all that is connected with the Franco era. The Empress saw that she understands the Communists. It is painful to watch destruction of the symbols which are directly related to their lives. And here we need to conduct the most sensitive policy. The pain of every Russian man - that her pain, and the problem of monuments and names - not the most important thing in our life today.

In every interview the Grand Duchess said she like her grandfather and her father did not speak for restitution. However, speculation continues. According to the Grand Duchess, restitution in modern Russia would have led to a wild repartition of property and civil disorder. And Russia has earned peace and tranquility.

Regarding the national question, recall the typical episode, when in 1993 the Grand Duchess with her family sailed on the boat on the Volga. There also was a group of businessmen from Kazan. Then Yeltsin phrase "take sovereignty as much as you can" was the motto of the borderlands, and there was a certain tension: how these people will perceive the presence of the Head of Russian Imperial House. What was surprising suite, where businessmen have asked to be introduced to Empress. Explaining their desire, they told: we have contradiction with the republican authorities in Moscow, but there can be no conflict with the Imperial family.

Many peoples of Russia have respect for the White King in the blood. That liberal system and its offshoots do not correlate with the bulk of Russia, the diversity of its cultures. Particularly progressivist unification is resisted by natural right and desire of peoples to live by their own laws, according to their traditions. In the Russia Empire there were different modes: in Finland there was a constitution, and in the Bukhara emirate ruled by Muslim law. Monarchy has a different approach, like in the family. The monarchy is a big family. All children are equally precious: that the elder that junior. But for all of them head of family has individual standards, but not to force them to wear clothes of one size. Blooming complexity of peoples and cultures is the only possible in the imperial project.

Why am I surprised antimonarchic attacks from the pages of your newspaper? "Tomorrow" is regularly appealed to the federal policymakers - become leaders, and in response sounds - we are only employees, managers, the bureaucratic superstructure. And legally they are right. Today we are in line with the development of Western civilization, when the State is only a matter of social contract. Principle of spiritual leadership is consistent metaphysically and legally indeed in monarchical project.

Tomorrow. One motif sounds often. Yes, they are nice, well-educated people, but ... absolutely Western, they are not connected with our reality, lost Russian soul long time ago...

Father NIKON. In general, it seems to me that the Grand Duchess Maria and Tsarevich much more aware of modern Russia than many of our federal officials, who thoroughly studied the Cote d'Azur of France and London Chelsea. Grand Duchess visited almost all regions of our country, from the west to Vladivostok and Magadan. A Grand Duke tried the depth.

In this regard, all the true patriots of Russia should welcome the efforts of Her Imperial Highness to strengthen ties with Great Russia.

Somebody fight. Here are anonymous libels, and the project "Michael of Kent" involved. Many, including the establishment, would like to see in the imperial family of some puppets, which can be manipulated as needed. Grand Duchess makes it clear that she has a position from which she never leaves.

Nobody says that you can’t criticize the idea of a monarchy or estimate the Romanov dynasty in negative terms. But let's deal openly and explicitly, not hanging labels, without cliché and stereotypes.

Imperial House of Russia has consistently expressed support for the creative processes in our country. If next to our authorities will be a symbol of the national history continuity, which is the Imperial House, it will only strengthen the power. People oppose the imperial family, thus act against Russia's statehood. In fact, they want to deprive the existing Russia strong in-house bar. They'd love to have caused a blow to the Russian Church, but the Church has matured enough, nothing could be done to it. The same institution strengthening our statehood could become the Imperial House of Russia, subject to his final return to Russia.

With regard to the misuse of words - the Grand Duchess, Tsarevich, then, sorry, it's just stupid. Nobody will address to His Holiness simply: Vladimir Mikhailovich. Although in terms of legislation, RF - a secular state, all religions are equal. However, everyone understands the role of the Orthodox Church. According to his passport Holiness Patriarch is V.M. Gundyaev, but all reasonable people turn attributed to him - "Your Holiness".

Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna no one is arguing, she serves her people. Voices are being raised: what they say, she does? Simply "tours" for her own pleasure for the country? Yeah, try to participate in such "tours".

I accompanied the Grand Duchess during a visit toPridnestrovie. All members of the delegation toppled to the ground from exhaustion. "Tour" began in the early morning, when at nine o'clock the first meeting, further visits to military units, businesses, hospitals, cultural institutions ... But we could sit down stealthily, to go somewhere. Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna has always been viewed and not allowed herself to relax for a second. It is a hard work, which can be understood only twist so within a few days.

Again, think: the meeting - this is not the level of resources, decisions. But the policy - not just a set of tangible actions. It is a tool of influence, the impact on people. Visits of the imperial family in the former part of one country affect the people and in respect to Russia itself. As noted by PMR President Igor Smirnov referring to the Grand Duchess: "You are doing a lot to elevate the glory of Great Russia, so - help us. Because Pridnestrovie people have always been together with Russia."

Nobody says that tomorrow monarchy should be imposed upon the people, but Russian Imperial House should have possibility to return to the Fatherland. It is important that the Imperial House has gained status as a kind of historical institute. This is not linked to the privileges or resources. It is important that the recognition or non-recognition of Imperial Family members do not depend on the good or ill will of an official from the president to the governor. This should be a solution that will operate for many years to come.

In fact, the historical identity of today's Russia is in the air. Giving the status of Russian Imperial House would strengthen continuity. This would allow the House of Romanov to continue its mission of national unity. That is not always convenient to make the existing policy, may the Imperial House of Russia do it through their family ties.

First of all, this is a diplomatic capacity to promote the interests of Russia, establish contacts. In Serbia, the successor to the throne Prince Alexander Karageorgievich received back the royal residence and state guards. He does a tremendous job in support of the international prestige of Serbia, and raising the national spirit. When the Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich made a visit to Russia, his cousin Bulgarian king Simeon II said: "You opened the way for all of us” Years passed. There is a corresponding status in Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, but in Russia we still do not have result.

Le 7 novembre, partout dans le monde, des Russes de tous les âges et de toutes conditions sociales ont fait mémoire du jour de Chagrin et de la Non-Reconciliation, suivant l’anniversaire du Coup d’Etat de 1917 au cours duquel les communistes ont pris le pouvoir en Russie. Plus de 30 millions de personnes en Russie ont été victimes du régime communiste entre 1917 et 1991. Cette période comprend les actes de répression perpétrés par Lénine, Staline, puis celles qui ont été perpétrées après la mort de Staline en 1953.
Le 7 novembre 2009, l’Union-Ordre Impériale Russe a organisé à Saint Pétersbourg à minuit, un service de requiem à proximité de la tombe du Cadet Vladimir Alexandrovich, qui a été tué par les communistes le 12 novembre 1917 en résistant au coup d’état. Plus tard, à 15 heures, une manifestation s’est tenu Place de la Trinité. L’Union-Ordre Impériale Russe accompagnée d’autres organisations anticommunistes, ont adressé une pétition à l’Assemblée Parlementaire du Conseil de l’Europe et à l’OSCE (Organisation pour la Sécurité et la Coopération en Europe). Dans cette pétition, les Monarchistes Russes ont proposé de proclamer le 7 novembre comme étant la Journée Internationale du Souvenir des Victimes du Communisme.
Le même jour, à Moscou, l’Union-Ordre Impériale Russe et le Parti « Grande Russie » ont organisé une conférence autour de la thématique « Le Tsar a-t-il abdiqué ? ». Il y a eu plus de 120 participants à cette conférence. Les participants ont discuté du fait de savoir si l’acte d’abdication du Tsar était ou non un faux ou si le Tsar avait signé l’acte lui-même. Même dans l’hypothèse où le Tsar aurait signé, cet acte était illégal et n’aurait eu aucun effet de Droit. L’idée directrice de la conférence était de porter attention au fait que le Tsar n’avait pas cessé de servir l’idée monarchiste et qu’il n’avait pas trahi la Russie et son serment prêté en 1613. Aujourd’hui, nombreux sont les gens en Russie qui se souviennent de l’autosacrifice du Saint Tsar, et sont prêts à servir actuellement ses Héritiers Légaux, en la personne du Chef de la Maison Impériale Russe, la Grande-duchesse Maria Vladimirovna.

La Fête du 80ème Anniversaire de l’Union-Ordre Impériale Russe a continuée le 31 octobre 2009 à Saint Petersbourg.
A minuit, le Commandeur de l’Ordre, M George Fedoroff à tiré une salve à partir de la Forteresse Saint Pierre et Paul de Saint Pétersbourg. Après cette salve, le carillon de la forteresse a joué la mélodie de l’Hymne de l’Empire Russe « Dieu bénisse le Tsar ». Les couleurs ont ensuite été hissées par les soldats de la garnison de la forteresse.
Ensuite les monarchistes se sont rendus au Caveau de la Famille Impériale en la Cathédrale Saint Pierre et Paul. Des bougies ont été allumées près des tombes de l’Empereur en exil Kirill I (1924-1938) et celle du Chef de la Maison Impériale Russe le Grand Duc Vladimir Kirillovich (1938-1992).
A 15 heures, le Commandeur de l’Ordre, M George Fedoroff, Secrétaire-Général de l’Ordre, M Andrei Sorokine et M Boris Turovskiy, membre du Conseil Suprême de l’Ordre, ont participé à la conférence de presse tenue au Palais Mathilda Kchesinskaya, au cours de laquelle ont été évoqués devant les journalistes les principaux évènements et étapes de l’histoire de l’Union-Ordre Impériale Russe ainsi que les projets à venir.
Une réception à destination des invités d’honneur a été organisée au Palais Mathilda Kchesinskaya.

On 7 November all over the world Russians of different ages and social status remember the Day of Grief and Irreconcilability, the following anniversary of October coup-d’état of 1917, when communists seized power in Russia. More than 30 million people in Russia became victims of the communists’ regime from 1917 to 1991, including the time of the Lenin’s repressions, the Stalin’s repressions, the repressions which were continued after Stalin’s death in 1953.
On 7 November 2009 the Russian Imperial Union-Order organised in Saint Petersburg at 12 p.m. requiem service near the grave of cadet Vladimir Alexandrovich, who was killed by communists on 12 November 1917 trying to resist to the coup-d’état. Then at 3 p.m. at the Trinity Square the demonstration was held. The Russian Imperial Union-Order and other anticommunists’ organisations directed their petition to the PACE and the OSCE. In the petition Russian monarchists propose to proclaim 7 November the International Day to Remember the Victims of Communism.
The same day in Moscow the Russian Imperial Union-Order and the party “Great Russia” organised the conference “Did the Tsar abdicate?” More than 120 came to participate in the conference. The participants discussed whether the abdication act of Tsar Nicolas II was a forgery or the Tsar signed the act himself. In discussion arguments pro et contra both versions were announced. Even if the act was signed by the Tsar himself, that act was illegal and had no judicial power. The main idea of the conference was to pay attention that the Tsar didn’t stop to serve to the monarchical idea and didn’t betray Russia and the oath of 1613. Now there are a lot of people in Russia, who remember about the self-sacrifice of the Saint Tsar and are ready to serve to His Legal Heirs, now, the Head of the Russian Imperial House Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna.

The RIU-O continues to celebrate its 80 Anniversary

The celebrations dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of the Russian Imperial Union-Order were continued on 31 October 2009 in Saint Petersburg.
At 12 p.m. o’clock the Commander of the RIU-O Sir George Fedoroff took a shot from a gun of the St. Peter and Paul’s fortress of Saint Petersburg. After the shot carillon of the fortress’ clock played the melody of the Hymn of the Russian Empire “God, Bless the Tsar”. Then trooping the colour by the soldiers of the fortress’ garrison was made. THE SECOND MONARCHY FORUM IN HECHINGEN, GERMANY

On 23 October 2009 in Hechingen, Germany, the Second Monarchy Forum, organised by the German Monarchists Society, starts. Participants from different lands of Germany as well as from France, Austria, and Czech state came to Hechingen.

The Russian Imperial Union-Order, the oldest and largest Russian monarchist organisation, established 80 years ago, is very glad to greet the Second Monarchy Forum in Hechingen, Germany.
The German and Russian people have a common history which is full not only of sad pages, but also, and more importantly, of bright examples of cooperation and collaboration. A lot of German specialists served the Russian monarchy from the 17th to the 20th century. Today our countries are experiencing a difficult situation of a systematic crisis of spiritual values, ideology, and economy. To overcome this crisis our people need to tear up by the roots the mistaken ideals of the last several decades and to return to the Tradition which was has proven itself throughout centuries and which was developed under the wise rule of our Emperors.
We sincerely hope that your forum will be one of brilliant possibilities to underline that monarchists can propose real alternatives to republican rule, that Monarchy is the only real future for the history of our countries.
The Russian Imperial Union-Order wishes the forum to work successfully and hopes for further effective collaboration with German monarchists.

El Comandante de la U-OIR, el Sr. Gueorgui Fedoroff

La Unión-Orden Imperial Rusa (U-OIR) celebró su Tercer Congreso en Moscú, Rusia, del 8 al 10 octubre de 2009. El Congreso fue organizado como parte de las actividades para conmemorar el 80 Aniversario de la Unión-Orden. Participaron representantes de 14 departamentos de la Organización, destacando los delegados de los Estados Unidos y República Checa.
Su Alteza Imperial la Gran Duquesa María Vladimírovna, dirigió un mensaje al Congreso. La Cabeza de la Casa Imperial de Rusia destacó el importante papel que la U-OIR ocupa en el movimiento monárquico internacional.

También se hicieron presentes los saludos al Congreso de los representantes de la Unión-Orden de los Estados Unidos, México y Australia.
El Comandante de la U-OIR, el Sr. Gueorgui Fedoroff deseó que la organización en lo sucesivo sirva estrictamente a la verdad sin buscar compromisos con el mal, sirviendo a la Santa Iglesia y la monarquía, reconociendo que esto no es fácil en el mundo moderno.
Los representantes de los departamentos territoriales intervinieron con sus informes del trabajo correspondientes al periodo 2005-2009 (tras el Segundo Congreso de la U-OIR, celebrado en 2005 en San Petersburgo).

El 9 y 10 de octubre los congresistas discutieron el proyecto del Programa de la U-OIR, y también debatieron sobre la gestión de la propaganda monárquica en la sociedad rusa moderna. Dicho programa será definitivamente confirmado por el Consejo Superior del U-OIR próximamente.
El 10 de octubre fue clausurado el Congreso y después se realizó una recepción para celebrar el 80 aniversario de la Organización.

Her Imperial Highness the Dowager Grand Duchess Leonida Georgievna, a Dowager of Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich, a Head of the Russian Imperial House from 1938 to 1992, and a mother of a current Head of the Russian Imperial House Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna, celebrates today 95th anniversary.
Grand Duchess Leonida Georgievna was born on the 6th day of October 1914 in Tiflis (current Tbilisi, a capital of Georgia) in a family of prince Georgiy Alexandrovich Bagration of Mukhrani, a representative of the Royal House of Georgia, baptised in Christianity in 298 AD and ruled in Georgia from 575 AD to 1801 AD, and princess Elena Sigismundovna from Polish noble family of Novina-Zlotnicka.

With a daughter Grand Duchess Maria, 1960-ties

From 1948 to 1992 Grand Duchess Leonida Georgievna was married to Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich, in 1991 they visited together the Soviet Union. From that moment Grand Duchess visited Russia several times. She has awards of the Saint Orthodox Church.
Official congratulations to the Grand Duchess were received from Holy Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.

The focal point here will be the "Christian Conservatism during the Empire". New registrations from inland and abroad arrive on a daily basis. The Symposium will be at the weekend of 23rd to 25th of October. The following lectures are on the agenda: According to the main topic Lord Henning von Normann, speaker of the DMG, will start with considerations on "conservatism". Mr. Professor Dr. Julius H. Schoeps (University of Potsdam) will focus on "prussian virtues", Mr. Günther Marklein (Chair of the Bismarckbund) asks the question, "What History can tell us" and Mr. Andreas Haas (Kaisertreue Jugend) will talk about "Perceptions on conservatism from the Russia of today". A visitation of the Castle of Hohenzollern is planned just as a church service and sufficient time for an exchange of ideas between young and old, between scientists of different faculties and monarchists from various countries. Forhand this symposium will not be about reintroduction of Monarchy, but to reconsider the advantages or disadvantages of the monarchist idea through lectures and arguments on a scientific standard. Sure enough the intend of the German Monarchist Society, which is compounded with "Union of upright Monarchists" (BaM) and Emperorloyal Youth (KJ), is to find means to reintroduce a parliamentary monarchy. Amongst them are such symposias, where friends of the monarchist idea from inland and abroad can foster contacts. The numberous registrations particularly of young people to this event comments Henning von Normann, speaker of the DMG, as follows: "I can't share the impression, that we can't build on our youth for the future. The youth knows very well to differentiate between good and evul. One can trust the youth as they know how to deal with history and our responsibility for history very well. After the national forces had been forced out of politics, time came for the Iron Law of Oligarchy formulated by Robert Michels in early 20th century. Any type of social organization – a party or industrial corporation or public organization – irrespective of its initial democracy or autocracy level, will inevitably degenerate into the power of the few, i.e. oligarchy. And the balance of productive forces and industrial relations has nothing to do with the problem. The only force opposing the oligarchy is the Nation with all of its historical traditions – the faith of the ancestors, historical experience, government and public self-expression skills. Discarding nations in favor of various international federations – industrial and political – the industrial capital was predictably falling into submission. Only the Nation and the Tradition are able to return the leadership to entrepreneurs, make the economy’s real sector the guarantor of speedy economic development and prosperity of the peoples.
Long past are the days when the service class replaced the meek aristocracy in administration and became the support base of the ruling dynasties. Grasping the lower government levels, service class representatives of various social origins evolved from the state support base into a parasitical group steadily separating their interests from those of the nation and the state, and social layers from each other. In absence of a mechanism for the elite change, the same Iron Law of Oligarchy worked. Aristocracy degenerated into stagnant regimes headed by the oligarchy, which countered any kind of progress.
Time is also gone for government officials to serve the interests of the capital, posing as executive committees protecting the economic interests of the bourgeoisie. The merger of the political power, speculators and moneylenders, who have built their international structures, made the formation of global oligarchy unavoidable. The officialdom transformed into local bureaucracies and joined the oligarchs’ service. The industrial capital lost its leadership, after which began deindustrialization of national economies in leading countries, and decomposition of national sovereignties. Bureaucracy gave rise to monopoly that is killing business and industrial development. As a result, the nation is getting enslaved by moribund government officials, moneylenders and speculators. And then the question of the nation’s survival comes to the agenda – either nation or oligarchy.
The entire history of mankind or History of Societies is by no means the history of the class struggle but the history of the struggle between nations and populaces, on the one hand, and oligarchy with its subservient bureaucracy, on the other. On one side, we see the drive to spiritual advancement, sovereign culture and civilization, and on the other – profiteering at any cost. Mammoth-size governments rise to defend the interests of moneylenders who wander all over the world in search of new territories to enslave and rob their populaces. International bureaucracy serves the freedom of global speculation, slaughtering world economies for profits the oligarchy would obtain via cheap labor emerging in the third world countries.

Bureaucracy has always wished to obtain a lifetime right for the leading role in the state, attempting to become independent from the will of a monarch, aristocracy or people. It is this craving that has been pushing the bureaucracy to make use of flaws and deficiencies in the government structure for embedding their power. Every now and then, palace plots have been spilling over into the streets of capitals where agitated people were trying to find justice. The fruits have been inevitably snatched by the ruling clans, whereas the crowd was silenced by sops like temporary liberalization of the regime, insignificant reforms and attractive slogans. As a result, the bureaucracy has been growing in number and gaining strength, creating mechanisms for capturing the nation’s property and limitless enrichment. The bureaucratic control over the government, national property and state budget applied highly sophisticated ways to humiliate the populace.
Popular resistance could rest only on top aristocracy – the clergy and the military that make the support base for the state and the monarch striving to hand over a prosperous country to his heir. This is why bureaucracy becomes a secret ally for the revolutionary terrorist forces. Whereas the revolutionaries made a stake on assassinating the monarch and publicly discrediting the aristocracy, the bureaucracy was working covertly, trying to steal the populace from the aristocracy by weaving plots in the ruling circles, carrying the management complexities to an absurdity, misinforming everyone, driving reforms into a dead-end, etc. Political theories presenting this process as the class struggle only played into the bureaucracy’s hand. Their utopianism was enchanting the educated population groups and confusing the mind of masses, providing the bureaucracy with a prospect for omnipotence unchained from any tradition.
The revolutionary enthusiasm of liberalism was supported by the wish to remove the aristocracy with its ethics of serving its people and the Sovereign. Using the interests of the industrialists (or bourgeoisie, as it was called in the 20th century), the bureaucracy was rushing to power in order to restructure all relationships within the society, and to justify the morality of unrestrained profiteering and misappropriating the fruits of the industrial revolution. This drive was accompanied by institutionalizing political nations. Many bourgeois revolutions were of a national character, bringing liberation from other states. Actually, the commons failed to realize their mission of the national leader and were unable to combine the Tradition with Modernization. As a result, the power was seized by moneylenders and speculators. Part of them was trading in money; others were reselling finished goods and raw materials. And some found it appropriate to trade in human beings. At that, the humanistic values of the Enlightenment turned into a dogma, for which sake the impoverished groups and colonized territories were stifled by steel and blood.
Revolutions had been always opposed by certain defensive ideas, later either forgotten or used partially to fit the current political situation. Thanks to the traditionalist philosophers, liberal ideas did not become indisputable. Joseph de Maistre pointed out that universal society laws do not exist; in absence of canonized ancestors, the spirit of freedom brings chaos; and only the national intellect, which suppresses the individual dogmas, may bring the people happiness and wealth. Edmund Burke believed that an individual is born in the presence of the Tradition, state and the unfeasibility of adding private egotisms. Adam Muller and later Hegel insisted that the nation is the basis for any individual and any state. Fichte, Schelling and many other thinkers regarded the nation as an organic substance and the state – as a means for development of the nation. For conservative thinkers, monarchy is almost always the best form of government. Hegel wrote: “Personality of a state is real only in the form of a person – a monarch.” In the 20th century both German and Russian philosophies advanced the ideas of conservatism but did not find enough supporters to stop the wars and revolutions.
Liberals are trying to appropriate institutionalization of the Western industrial society by having invented the myth of the free market economy. In fact, as Max Weber has shown, the successful economic practice had religious roots, i.e. the Protestant ethics born in the peoples’ uprising against the Catholic Church. Unfortunately, at a later stage of the Reformation period the Western society discarded the Tradition, and the newborn bureaucracy imposed its will on the nations.
European states also attempted to disconnect from the bureaucracies and liberate the nations before World War II. However, the revolutionary and military adventurism, inspired by oligarchic agents, substituted the national idea with Nazism. The liberal or leftist bureaucracy was replaced not by national government institutions but by totalitarian bureaucracy or particracy that destroyed any kind of self-government and elementary liberties, although they make the only proper conditions for a nation to develop. The adventurism of Hitler and other leaders of aggressive regimes, as well as the ploys of global oligarchy, brought the world to the war that prevented the nations from overpowering the total bureaucratization. Oligarchs were interested in the fight between Germany and the Soviet Union, since they saw in these regimes something that hampered their global dominance. And they did not wish the sovereign states to independently overcome totalitarian trends. Western bureaucracy found an ally in the totalitarian bureaucracies, which were craving for a war to subjugate the populace. Charismatic leaders of the 20th century relied on bureaucracy and tried to override it. But the nature of a national leader is the opposite of the bureaucrat’s nature. With time, leader left the arena, whereas bureaucracy invariably restored and strengthened its positions.
The victory of liberal regimes and the riches obtained by the oligarchies during World War II and the postwar reconstruction have set mankind on the wrong track. Suppressing national self-consciousness where a drive to the sovereignty emerged, the oligarchy has equaled nationalism to Nazism. The liberal West and its bureaucracy began dictating conditions to the countries where national identity was just arising. The West gave up its civilizing mission in colonies and switched over to neocolonialism. As a result, the peoples with non-existent or vanished historical experience lost their guidelines, allowed the cruelest tyrannies to materialize and sank in bloody civil wars for many years. Nevertheless, places intact from the reach of liberal oligarchy witnessed emergence of civilizations bearing the Tradition.
Liberalism offers no privileges to the industrial capital, whose role in the society suggests domination over financial and trading capital. With the help of liberal dogmas power has come into the hands of transnational oligarchy juggling with fictitious values. The business circles, which lost the Tradition, have turned into the oligarchy’s henchmen and accomplices to a global swindle.

Mutation of the liberal thought in the 20th century has resulted in rapprochement between liberalism and socialism and adoption of some of its ideas. Liberal socialism, whose embryo emerged before World War II, went into full blossom by late 20th century and absorbed both concepts. Having lost its pathetic defense of individual freedom, liberalism took a socialist tint to stake on numerous social programs. Socialism became the paramount principle of freedom, in fact, liberalism in action tasked to emancipate proletariat and supply a kind of averaged freedom to the majority. By acknowledging the importance of certain socialist principles, liberalism has become even more sophisticated in its lies about the essence of society and individual. After the collapse of the socialist system, liberalism inherited from the defeated enemy not only material resources but also ideology, which it has adapted to the needs of the global oligarchy. Democratic fictions have been enriched by the fictions about social equality and social partnership. The institutes of democratic and liberal socialism are on the payroll of the oligarchs who choose to control all ideas and social trends, buying leaders, ideologues and thinkers to castrate the public thought in its every manifestation.
Differing in declared aims and values, liberalism and socialism unite in the drive to demolish states and nations, to bring them into a single society with universal values common to everyone. To this end, they have to negate national and civilizational dissimilarities rating them vestiges of the past. And any kind of human versatility is described as a harmful factor subject to elimination. The two seemingly conflicting ideologies have a common basis, i.e. antagonism to the religious and philosophical ideology that reflects national consciousness.
Just like socialism, liberalism cripples the human mind. Whereas socialism creates an individual whose integrity is fully dependent on the collective and the political dogma, liberalism sees the ideal in an individual with split consciousness, a multicultural individual lacking permanent links with any human community. Liberalism and socialism disconnect a person from family, nation and morality. For a liberal, family is something temporary, nation is something you can easily give up, and morality is a chimera. In the socialist version, family is of minor importance, nation is a transient notion, and morality is nonexistent beyond the party dogma.
Just like socialism, liberalism is devious. Universal values only make another propaganda scam. Freedom for all turns out to be freedom for a limited circle of subjects who have monopolized the right to move around their capital. The oligarchs need globalization to make sure that their proven model becomes universal and spreads over the world. The oligarchic capital must never face resistance to its atrocious plans. Hence, any state defending its interests and trying to practice independent policies shall be declared a foe, an Evil Empire or a terrorists’ accomplice. Oligarchy is hostile to everything related to free existence of nations, i.e. everything that retains a traditional way of life, allegiance to the historical path and unyielding moral imperatives.

Freedom turned to be more bloodthirsty than the Tradition, giving rise to ideas focused on Justice. Growing opposition to flagging ideas of liberals who eulogize individual success and carpet-baggers stepping over losers’ heads has brought about demands for collective freedom, i.e. liberation from the shackles of the state and the nation. Public solidarity integral to the Tradition and the State has been replaced by class solidarity on the basis of a common socio-economic status. Whereas the Enlightenment was denying Tradition, the socialist teachings came to reject the bourgeois order generated by the Enlightenment. However, the denial had no room for the Tradition or conventional morality. Plato was quite accurate to describe the relationship between the liberal oligarchy and those whom the Marxists later named proletariat: “The riches have corrupted the soul of humans by luxury, while poverty fed them misery and drove to shamelessness."
Marxism offers socialist ideas in their extreme, as its negation of the bourgeoisie’s leading role is supplemented by forecasting inevitable and natural replacement of socio-economic formations. From the primitive communal formation mankind develops into slavery, then into feudalism replaced by capitalism, after which arrives the era of socialist revolutions and construction of communism. Transition to the new formation is preceded by emergence of the progressive social class with a mission to overcome the previously accumulated contradictions between productive forces and industrial relations. The formation change means discarding previous relations that hinder the development of productive forces and establishes a new type of relationship.
This historiosophic structure contained an intrinsic flaw – the belief in possible construction of an earthly ideal society, which needs neither state, nor social hierarchy, nor nation. In this sense, Marxism was radically casting away the Tradition and even insisted that the break is a principal law of the historic process.
Marxism maintained that the next in turn change of formation is just round the corner as the gravedigger of capitalism emerged, i.e. the working class with its proletarian internationalism. Since capitalism failed to provide the hired workers even with slave-like existence, the proletariat had nothing to lose but its chains. By crushing existing relationships via a revolution, the proletariat was to destroy private property and eventually eliminate the state. At that, the reactionary nations were to perish in the worldwide proletarian revolution. Class solidarity made peoples irrelevant for implementation of the favorite Marxist theories. Internationalism became a key dogma of the Marxists. The theory of the withering state has brought socialists and liberals in the same boat, as internationalism and free world markets share the common ideas of globalism.
The Marxists’ propaganda ploy was in the material lure for the masses. They have been told that as soon they reject their state and faith, and exterminate the exploiter class, they would obtain a prosperous life and may work not more than they wish. Initially compensation was meant for labor, and under communism everyone would obtain the goodies according to needs. The criteria for compensated labor and reasonable needs never took shape. In fact, nobody was going to develop them, since Marxism was offering a fairy tale about miraculously obtained riches and idleness, about an earthly paradise for spongers. The same decoy infected not only workers but also intellectuals in a society, which was only going to become a nation and complete the development of its tradition. Instead, the society was offered dreams of Justice and Freedom.
The material lures disconnected the people by setting the class interests against each other and driving the class relationship to hatred and enmity. The battle has brought rejection of responsibility to the reigning dynasties and the honor of aristocracy. However, the bloody fight for the radiant future has brought victory not to revolutionary workers or counterrevolutionary capitalists and landowners but to bureaucrats who quietly took over the power.
Based of insufficient empirical substance, the ideas of Marxism proved applicable only for a very short historical period. They failed to make a theory, but rather turned into propaganda confusing peoples in search for knowledge. Revolutions of the 19th and 20th centuries launched by the communist parties (starting from the Paris Commune) refuted themselves, validating the bankruptcy of Marxism. Marxism seems to retain significance just for criticism of capitalist bottlenecks and a methodology for analysis of primitive economic relations. It has reduced the viability of the world civilizations but has failed to prove false both the humanistic illusions of the Enlightenment and the fundamental values of the Tradition.
Mankind watched socialism to tread on the Tradition and exterminate the social layers basking in liberal and socialist myths. The victim count of the developed socialism has significantly exceeded that of the bourgeois revolutions. Socialism has undermined the vital forces of many nations. Finally, the socialist system collapsed, unable to step over the Marxist dogmas and face modern challenges. Scientific communism, Marxist philosophy and historical materialism – all of these proved unscientific and unpractical.
Hired workers have failed to either form a progressive class creating more efficient production relations or build a kind of unity. The world wars gave shown that it is the peoples and states but not classes that remain the subjects of history. In countries where socialism won and Marxist dogmas made a new religion, the working class brought power to the bureaucracy, the party nomenclature, tasked just to hinder the nations’ spiritual and political advancement.

We know liberalism by its slogans of today but similar catchphrases do come up from ancient times. In those days some scholars regarded democratic states as a realization of the idea of freedom from any kind of regulation, including family and morality, while others saw chaos, confusion and inanity. Slaves made the portion of population deprived of any sort of morals and covered by only most primitive legal norms. If the role of slavery was minor, there emerged regimes that could now be called totalitarian. If Plato generated his theory of an ideal state proceeding in greater part from the experience of Sparta, for many of his contemporaries and later thinkers the experience was unacceptable since it was suppressing individual freedom. Until now Plato is seen as a totalitarian philosopher for his ideas that integrated the Tradition and experience of his epoch.
In antic times Aristotle analytically singled out oligarchic states founded on the rule of the few who govern in their private interests and place their riches above aristocracy, military courage, wisdom and civilian bravery. In oligarchies, the power of the money overwhelmed the power of Tradition, which illustrated not the struggle between democratic and undemocratic parties but a more profound ideological confrontation between the cult of money and the cult of heroes, ascetics, men of wisdom and hard workers. According to Plato and Aristotle, an ideal state should exclude both oligarchy and democracy. Plato rated democrats as libertines, misers, smart alecks and profligates, slaves of their whims who live to satisfy their vile desires. But he also regarded oligarchy as the worst form of rule, giving preference to aristocracy and monarchy. Aristotle wrote that democracies in most cases degenerated into oligarchies and then into tyrannies, which he clearly saw in his native Athens. He believed that appropriate forms of state were the monarchy and aristocracy, as well as mixed patterns combining different government systems. The most viable regimes combined elements of the monarchy, aristocracy and democracy (politia). It was a major theoretical discovery of ancient philosophers that the modern leaders have discarded preferring the rule of money or tyranny.
The Middle Ages were restoring the rule of the Tradition after the shattering collapse of the Antiquity that came after the citizens had nothing to defend and nothing to struggle for, when the material interest consolidated the parasitical classes and destroyed the spiritual unity and the statehood foundations of Rome and later Byzantium. Afterward Russia took over the mission of the spiritual center of Christianity and opposed the cult of money. But the material interest kept corrupting people, placing material values above spiritual.
Ancient traditionalist thinkers put public welfare above individual Freedom. Modern times have brought about the notion of freedom that allegedly makes the sole craving of the society and the entire societal development process leads to expansion of freedoms. The Renaissance brought together the notions of freedom and individual, in which freedom could be supposedly fully realized. Any sociality emerging before the individual makes his choice was considered false. As a result, the history became a burden and deserved disgrace. Humanists dreamt of times when the last king could be strangled by the intestines of the last priest. The idea of Progress was opposed to the Tradition. The state was regarded just as a giant Leviathan whose power was inevitable just because people innately dream to take life from each other.
The French Revolution has shown that the idée fixe, turned into ideology by propaganda, in practice boils down to a sheer inferno filled with terror and violence. Immense human victims of liberal (bourgeois) revolutions many times surpassed all casualties of monarchic and aristocratic states based on the Tradition. The Hymn to Reason voiced by the enlighteners sank in the roar of wars and screams of executed victims. The Social Compact that they viewed as the foundation of a happy society, as well as the natural law never materialized. Liberalism only gave a new impetus to greediness, having liberated it from condemnation of traditional morality. Intellect and reason triumphed only in areas where private interest reigned to create discrimination, live at others’ expense, cheat and enslave people.
Normally, liberals display great respect to Marxist methodology and borrow many of its elements. Political economy of socialism and liberalism share some sources, i.e. the idea of an international market. Socialists need it to seize power by proletarian parties, and liberals – by parties of transnational corporations. The praise of Marx and Engels to the bourgeoisie’s progressive mission has become a part of the liberal theoretical dogma – the oligarchs’ propaganda tool in the second half of the 20th century. The conclusion concerning worthlessness and even disutility of the state has also traveled from Marxism to modern liberal teachings.

Forecasting the future is a primary task of the human intellect attempting to comprehend the laws of nature and society. In order to plan their lives, people have always desired to know the future, withdrawing it from the logic of history and everyday experiences. The more fundamental is the forecast, the deeper it tracks the coming events and the more successful are those who obtain a profound understanding of current events, causes of human behavior, the spirit of the epoch and patterns of historical processes.
Theories of social development have always tended to set forth a certain concept, which, similar to classical physics, becomes a set of unquestionable ultimate truths not subject to revision except for some exotic cases.
The future is logically derived on the basis of universal principles and laws. A huge array of historical events is compressed into several brief formulas taken up by politicians and public associations. Further compression of the theory by political practitioners drives out rationality, preserving only adherence to the current situation, an appeal to emotions and intended impression. For cynics of every epoch (beginning from ancient Cynics), theory remnants of the serve just one purpose – to make a lure by which the politicians are trying to attract the public expecting miraculously prompt enrichment, and slander to attack the opponents. As far as the scholarly truth is concerned, it is usually sidestepped to serve the interests of various groups and clans. The scientific and systematic grounds are pushed aside when the propaganda machine is called to implant ideas to somebody’s benefit.
The open confrontation of liberal and socialist ideas in the 20th century has generated an illusion that there is no alternative ideology to seriously compete with these two approaches. Tradition and nationalism seemed to have sunk in the past, with only two global systems, capitalism and socialism, struggling to establish their versions of the future. Everything else was described as dark medievalism and vestiges of the past epochs. Even nations and states, which emerged in those epochs, were presented as pieces on the chessboard where the grand confrontation should shape the world.
The grandmasters of the new age believed that all prior games were worthless, as they lacked mastery, system or academic approach. In fact, the confrontation of the systems resulted in the neglect of their fundamentals – the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen and works by the founding fathers of liberalism, on the one side, and the leftist idea of the kingdom of liberty for the workers who have overcome alienation from the means of production, on the other. Even the very social architecture of nations and states, where those ideas had been nurtured and gained popularity, was found archaic.

The director of your Chancellery, Alexander Zakatov, said the following in an interview: “The first official visit of the Grand Duchess is taking place in Belarus—this is proof of the role Belarus and its leadership is playing in the unification process.” What unification process was he speaking about?
He was not speaking about any sort of concrete political unification, but precisely about a “unification process”—that is, about the on-going cooperation between Russia and Belarus in the spiritual, cultural, and economic spheres. This process has historical roots. I highly value the steps taken by the Belorussian and Russian authorities to further mutual cooperation, and I consider this to be an excellent example for neighboring countries and would like as much as I can to express support for all these measures that bring people together. The director of my Chancellery expressed precisely the long-held position of the House of Romanoff, of which I am the head. We recognize and respect the constitutions and laws of the independent states that formed after the fall of the USSR, we recognize and respect the system of international agreements that regulate the diplomatic relationship between them. In this way, we cannot be but very pleased with any step taken to strengthen and defend the common interests of these nations. Indeed, the entire world is moving toward integration. Governments are firmly preserving their sovereignty, but at the same time easing restrictions on trade across borders, creating common currencies, and establishing new international regulatory bodies. And what do we do at the end of the twentieth century but begin to erect not only new international borders, but also other, concocted barriers of various sorts. I am certain that this a temporary phase. The sooner we get past our differences—most of which are not as big as they might appear on first glance—the better it will be for everyone.
In June 2009, Grand Duchess Maria Romanoff appealed through her Chancellery to the Russian government to grant (that is, restore) to her an official status in Russia, analogous to the status enjoyed by the Russian Orthodox Church. What movement has there been in fulfilling this request?
Let me begin by pointing out that I have never made any requests of any kind to the Russian government, either directly myself or through my Chancellery. The Russian Imperial House exists on the basis of law. In this way, it is analogous with the Church, which exists eternally (even in the conditions of exile and non-recognition by the State), based on the Divine teachings and canon law. One must not, however, forget that we are speaking about analogies. The Church and the dynasty are, of course, different institutions, although they do share many of the same goals and objectives. In contemporary secular and democratic states, it is always possible to find legal mechanisms to show respect for the traditional institutions which are vital to a true civil society. The similarity of the situation between the Church and dynasty amounts to the following: if contemporary governments, while entirely secular, nonetheless recognize the special status of traditional religions, then, by analogy, though democratic, they may similarly facilitate legally the principles of cooperation with the former royal and imperial dynasties that once reigned in those states. If the Russian government will grant the Russian Imperial House the legal status of a historical institution, as has happened in one form or another in most countries—Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Albania, Hungary, France, Portugal, Italy and others—it will allow us to serve our homeland far more effectively. There are no political or financial risks posed to the government in recognizing the status of the Imperial House. Naturally, we are not seeking the return of any property, nor are we counting on public support for our household. The only things that we cherish now are our good name—the besmirching of which I, as head of the dynasty, must never allow to happen—our dignity, and the idea of service to the country, which God has appointed us to fulfill.
Your Imperial Highness, could you comment on the views expressed by some Belarusian historians and politicians regarding your visit to Belarus. For example, Prof. Anatoly Gritskevich stated that the Romanoff dynasty played the role of a colonizer in the territory of modern Belarus, and that, consequently, “when Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna arrives in Gomel, it will simply be, for her, a visit to her former territories of the Empire.”
When I am in Belarus, I truly feel as though I am in my homeland. And I in no way shy away from stating this, nor do I hide it. The House of Romanoff has throughout its history sought to unify, and it did not participate in any of the episodes that have divided the country: not in the civil war, not in the events of 1991. For me, all parts of the former Russian Empire are our homeland and form a part of a single historical and cultural space. All the peoples of the former Empire remain brothers. At present, many of these “brothers” have moved on to “have their own families,” to have their own life as independent states. But one can never forget the spiritual and familial kinship and common historical fate shared by us all. My mission as Head of the Imperial Family is to remind all the peoples of the former Russian Empire of their common roots and to promote mutual understanding, friendship, and cooperation between them—not “in terms of Empire,” but in terms of the spiritual and material interests of every ethnic group and every individual person.
The First Deputy Chairman of the BNF Party (Belorussian People's Front), Vintsuk Viachorka, stated that the Romanoffs "have waged war on Belarus, bloody war." He also believes that if the Romanoffs are the successors to the Russian monarchy, then they should be allowed to cross the border into Belarus "only after having first publically apologized to the people of Belarus for their aggressive wars of conquest, for 145 years of colonial enslavement, for genocide, and for the suppression of the Belorussian language."
It is sad when objectivity and historical truth are sacrificed to short-term political interests and populism. The return of White Russia into the united All-Russian state during the reign of Catherine the Great had nothing whatsoever to do with "colonialization." This was the unification of the Slavic peoples and the liberation of the majority of Belorussians from nationalist and religious oppression they suffered under the Rzeczpospolita. There were, of course, those who opposed this unification. But these were mostly members of the gentry, and not at all the common people. Kosciuszko, Kalinowsky, and other leaders of the opposition to unification all belonged to the ancient nobility who, for complex historical reasons, had adopted pro-Polish and anti-Russian attitudes. When my royal ancestors are accused of having "the blood of Belorussian patriots" on their hands, that is, putting it charitably, a gross distortion. Kosciuszko led an armed insurrection against Russian military forces and was eventually captured, but he was always treated as an honorable foe, without any insult to his honor. Paul I freed him, and personally received, and then returned, his sword to him. In 1815, when the Kingdom of Poland was established as a constituent part of the Russian Empire, Alexander I offered a high post to Kosciuszko. Kosciuszko refused because of a disagreement on the proposed boundaries of the Polish kingdom, but to the end of his days he maintained his respect for Russia's emperors. And he died of natural causes in Switzerland. Kalinowsky was, it is true, executed. But one cannot forget that his hands were responsible for the spilling of blood. He was convicted according to the laws of the land at the time, as someone who organized an uprising and strove to destroy the unity of the state. His acts would still, even now, be considered criminal acts in every part of the world. Today, we might very much regret that the punishment was so severe. Be that as it may, we share far more that is positive, than negative, in our common history. Let us forget neither the bad nor the good that has been in the past. But any impartial person knows that the word "genocide" of the Belorussian people is a good example of "the more monstrous the lie, the easier it is to believe it." And those who allege that the Russian Empire suppressed the Belorussian language should go to the National Library in Minsk and see the exhibit of pre-revolutionary publications. On display there are countless books and brochures in the Belorussian language, all published before the revolution…To be sure, there were tensions. And these sorts of problems, disputes, and tensions did exist, exist today, and will, alas, will continue to exist. But the basis of modern relations must always be that which unites, not that which divides.
After the murder of Nicholas II in 1918, the Romanoffs were divided by fierce dynastic disputes. The dispute is carried on now by two lines of pretenders to the throne, both of which are rather distant relatives to each other: the descendants of Alexander II, to which you belong, and the descendants of Nicholas I. Would you explain to us "mere mortals" why the descendants of the Romanoffs have not to this day been able to find agreement with each other?
Your question contains a number of inaccuracies that hinder a proper understanding of the situation. First, Alexander II, from whom our line descends, was the eldest son of Nicholas I. Therefore, we are also descendants of Nicholas I, as are the representatives of the junior lines of the dynasty. Second, there are no, nor can there be, any disagreements on what the law of succession says. The law indicates always the one and only person who is, at any given moment, the rightful head of the dynasty. It was God's will that Tsesarevich Nicholas, the eldest son of Alexander II, died during the lifetime of his father, having never married. Therefore, after the murder in 1881 of Alexander II at the hands of terrorists, Alexander II's second son, Alexander III, followed him on the throne. In 1894, he died and the throne passed to his son Nicholas II. After the executions of 1918 by the Bolsheviks of Nicholas II, his son Tsesarevich Aleksei Nikolaevich, and the emperor's brother, Grand Duke Mikhail Aleksandrovich—that is, all male descendants of Alexander III—the right to the throne passed to the descendants of the third son of Alexander II, Grand Duke Vladimir. Grand Duke Vladimir had died before the revolution, so in 1918 the right to the headship of the dynasty fell to his eldest son, Kirill, my grandfather and the first cousin of Nicholas II. After the death of Kirill Vladimirovich, his son, Grand Duke Vladimir, my father, became head of the dynasty. Since all members of the dynasty who survived the revolution married morganatically, at the moment my father died in 1992, there were no male relatives who had dynastic rights. Therefore, in accord with Article 30 of the Fundamental Laws, the headship of the dynasty moved to the female line. In this way, I became the head of the House of Romanoff. I enjoy very warm and affectionate relations with my relatives, and I am always very glad when they work for the good of the country, and I am always ready to collaborate with them toward this end. If some of them challenge my rights and present themselves as "pretenders to the throne," these are trivialities with which I do not concern myself. I am not a "pretender to the throne," but rather the legitimate heiress, by right of inheritance, to the headship of the Imperial House of Romanoff. This is a position that one cannot appropriate nor refuse. My duty is to preserve our spiritual and moral values and ideals, our traditions, and to pass them on to the next generation. I am convinced that everyone, regardless of their origins, social class, and beliefs, should strive to live so that neither their ancestors nor the descendants should ever be ashamed of them. If we would remember this, there would be far less fighting, disputes, and conflicts in the world.

As is well known, the Head of the Imperial House of Romanoff, Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna, has spent several days in Belarus. Despite her full schedule, "The People's Will" was able to meet and interview the heiress of this famous family. She commented on the controversial remarks of Belorussian politicians and historians, and also spoke of the daily lives of members of the Imperial Family.
Your Imperial Highness, you have called this visit to Belarus your "first official visit to that part of the former Russian Empire which now exists as an independent state." Why have there been two different characterizations of the status of your visit, some saying it is official, others saying that it is the visit of a private citizen?
My visit came about through the invitation of the Administration of the Gomel' District. In this sense, it is official. Some assign to this expression "official visit" the meaning of "state visit," but no one [in my party] has said this and no one pretends that that is what it is.
I've never been to Belarus before, although I have wanted to come here for a long time. Many friends of our family come from Belarus, and they have told me many interesting things about your country.
It is very important to the Imperial House to support good relations between all peoples. Despite the fact that we today live in different states, we belong to a single cultural space. As Head of the House of Romanoff, I consider it my duty to support and foster these connections, and to help restore them wherever they have been broken or lost. This is one of the main areas of activity for the Imperial House of Romanoff. At all times, not only during this trip (smiles)! This is not something I thought up just the other day: I have always striven to do all I can so that we do not forget our common roots and our history. It's very much like what happens in a family—with parents, brothers, and sisters. At first, everyone lives under the same roof, but with time they have come to live apart, with the children starting their own families. So it has been with our countries: each of us has created his own family, but we should not forget our familial connections.
Having now visited Gomel', Brest, and Minsk, can you say that what your acquaintances have told you about Belarus is true?
There were even acquaintances who were surprised that I should want to come, saying that things are not so good here. But I have come, and I can now say how well the people live here, that much of the negative that is said about your country is utterly false. I am very pleased to see for myself that Belarus is, indeed, improving. In many areas, the level of things is even higher than in Russia. This is likely because one can change things more and faster when the country is smaller. And, of course, one senses the presence of a serious chief who is commanding "Forward march!"…Of course, there is nowhere on this earth a perfect paradise. And I am not saying that everyone here has it entirely good. There are problems, as there are in any country.

Tell us, please, how different the lives of members of the Imperial House are from those of ordinary people.
I don't even know (laughs)… And what do you see when you look at me? In my opinion, I look like everyone else. I believe that everyone living in the twenty-first century should be a person of the twenty-first century. Of course, my education from a very early age was given a lot of attention—I learned that one must have self control, to look proper, to behave appropriately. And most importantly, I have learned always to be at the disposal of my people. In every other way, I believe I was surrounded by entirely normal circumstances.
